Ch 9

(Donovan's Pov)

Slowly waking up I immediately freeze when I feel arms surrounding me I cautiously opening my eyes only for them to widen in shock when I see Seungcheol fast asleep holding me in his arms. Immediately confused with no idea what happened I think back remembering getting home and the extreme pain. Harry tried to scent me but it was making me feel sick then I remember passing out from the pain and heat. Frowning a little I notice Seungcheol starting to stir he letting out a little groan before his eyes open and he looks down at me a smile crossing his face my heart speeding up but I immediately give him a look raising an eyebrow at him. "What are you doing here?" He gives me a stern look back. "Taking care of my omega like a good mate should." Putting up an emotional wall I can't help but point out a little harshly. "Your work and fans are way more important than me. I could have handled it myself or with Harry's help." He immediately growls his eyes flashing red angrily. "You couldn't even move you were in so much pain! And I don't want you with any other alpha but me." I stare at him my eyes narrowing. "I don't need you." He raises an eyebrow. "Jagi you were crying and begging for me last night." I get a little flustered at the pet name then glare. "Yeah but this heat isn't normal so it doesn't count." He glares back at me. "I'm still in complete disbelief about how you thought it was a good idea to leave a safe hotel room and go home when you were in extreme heat and had your scent blasting from every corner of your body. You could have been attacked or worse raped!" I look away from him my lip starting to tremble a little from stress and heat based emotions. It's quiet for a second before his voice softens. "Hey don't cry. I'm not mad I promise I just. I was SO worried when Wonwoo said that you left the hotel and could even be walking home. I don't want anything to happen to you." I sniffle a little and carefully scoot closer and cling onto him my voice breaking. "I'm sorry. I'm not used to being the one cared about and worried over. And god this mate thing is SO hard!" He smiles a little agreeing. "Yes it is but we'll work it out together." My lips twitch up into a little smile and I shift when suddenly his eyes go to my neck and widen slightly. I look at him in confusion. "What?" He suddenly looks nervous and a little scared. "Um it seems that you're marked now." My eyes widen and my hand goes to my neck in surprise wincing when I feel a small throbbing pain on my scent gland. "Geez why does it sting? How hard did you even bite?" He raises an eyebrow at my calm almost playful nature. "I was expecting a different reaction. I almost expected to get slapped." I give him a little smile. "Well we are mates and you'd have claimed me eventually anyways. I mean sure it wasn't ideal to get claimed immediately but I don't really mind." He blinks at me in surprise before relaxing a little in relief making me chuckle then rub my eyes tiredly. His expression softens a little and he gently cuddles me. "Go back to sleep while your heat is at bay for now." I nod and slowly fall asleep actually feeling happy and relaxed.
