Stiles came into his room once I finished getting dressed. "Do you need to stay home from school today?"

I shook my head. "I'm going to have these scars forever. I can't just skip out on my entire education."

"That's fair." he nodded. "I'm sorry, by the way."

"What for?" I asked.

"For behaving like a total ass towards you. And pulling you into the middle of my obsession with Lydia." he answered.

"Oh. That. Yeah. Don't do that again. " I told him.

"I won't. Try not to, at least." he answered me. "So....I take it I still have a lot to make up for?"

"That's an understatement. But if you're looking for my forgiveness—"

"Woah woah, I messed up big time. I'm not expecting any forgiveness. If you want, you can just ignore me for the rest of your life." he said, thinking it over. "But don't do the last part, because I have severe separation issues with girls who can rip my head off when they're pissed."

A light smile formed on my face. "I'll try my best."

"....clean slate?"

"Oh, no, no. You're not getting off that easily, Stilinski. You still need to make up for a lot of things, but, for right now, let's start with you giving me a ride to school."

He smiled and nodded. "I can do that."

We walked down the steps and headed out to the Jeep, getting in and driving down towards the school; we arrived almost half an hour later due to traffic, and were met by Scott as we walked up the steps to school.

"Hey, guys. Did you do the research on the Kanima like I asked, Stiles?" Scott asked his friend.

"Yeah." He nodded.

"Wait. When'd you do research?" I asked him as I walked through the school hallways with them.

"Last night while you were asleep." he answered with a shrug.

"What did you find out?" I asked him.

"it's a Werejaguar from South America that goes after murderers." he answered us.

I opened up my locker and got my books out, closing it and looking at Stiles. "That this was not a jaguar."

"Yeah, and I'm not exactly a murderer." Stiles answered me as we continued down to their lockers.

"Yeah, but you did see it kill somebody, which is probably why it tried to kill you. And it's still trying to kill you, and it probably won't stop until you're dead." Scott spoke up.

Stiles looked at his friend, offended. "You know, sometimes I really begin to question this "friendship."

"Okay, getting back to the task at hand. How are we going to find this thing?" I asked the two.

"No idea." Scott sighed.

"Oh shit..." Stiles muttered as he looked down the hallway.

I followed his gaze and saw Isaac and Erica walking together, talking in low voices and passing us.

"Hey. Find out what they're saying." Stiles told both me and Scott.

I focused on their conversation down the hall. "So, Derek wants this done during chemistry?" Erica asked.

"Yeah, and if it's Lydia, I'm gonna kill that bitch, all right?" Isaac answered.

"We have to test her first" she answered.
