Isaac sat down next to me on a bench in the waiting area, setting a hand on my shaking knee. "Hey. They're going to be okay. They'll make it through this."

I looked at Isaac. "They've been out for sixteen hours, Isaac. I have a right to be worried."

"I know. I know. But they'll come back." Isaac answered.

Deaton ran around the corner. "They're back."

Isaac, Lydia, and I looked at each other before following Deaton into the back room, seeing Scott, Allison, and Stiles getting out of the tubs of ice.

"I saw it. I know where it is." Scott said as Deaton handed the three of them towels to dry off.

Stiles nodded. "We passed it. There's-there's a stump... this huge tree—well, it's not huge anymore, it was cut down—but it's still big, though! Very big!"

"It was the night we were looking for the body," Scott said. "The night I was bitten by Peter."

"I was there, too, in the car with my mother. We almost hit someone." Allison said.

Scott looked at Allison. "It was me—you almost hit me. We can find it."

Allison looked at our shocked faces. "...what?"

"You guys were out a long time..." Isaac said.

"How long is a long time?" Stiles asked.

    "Sixteen hours." I answered.

"We've been in the water for sixteen hours?" Scott asked.

Deaton nodded. "And the full moon rises in less than four."

Scott looked at the clock hanging on the wall. "I need to get back to the Alpha pack."

Stiles shook his head. "No, dude—you are not going back with them."

"I made a deal with Deucalion—"

"Does anyone else think that sounds a lot like a deal with the devil?" Stiles interrupted.

"Why does it matter, anyway?" I asked.

Scott looked at me. "Because I still don't think that we can beat Jennifer without their help."

Allison looked Deaton. "He trusts you more than anyone—tell him he's wrong."

Deaton thought about it for a moment. "I'm not so sure he is...circumstances like this sometimes require that you align with people you'd normally consider enemies."

"So, we're gonna trust him—the guy that calls himself "Death, Destroyer of Worlds"—we're gonna trust that guy?" Isaac asked.

Deaton shook his head. "I wouldn't trust him, no. But, you could use him to your advantage. Deucalion may be the enemy, but he could also be the bait."

The door opened with a jingle and we walked out to see Ethan standing there.

"I'm looking for Lydia." Ethan said.

Lydia appeared into view. "What do you want?"

"I need your help." he said.

"With what?" I asked, glancing at Lydia.

"Stopping my brother and Kali...from killing Derek." Ethan answered.

"We know about the lunar eclipse, so don't think Kali's gonna sit around waiting for it to level the playing field. She's coming, and my brother's coming with her." Ethan told us as we met up with the rest of my family at the loft.
