"You're an omega Newt, it's time you start acting like one!"

The words stung deeper than they should've. Newt spent the rest of the day moping around in the office. The principal was meeting with Thomas and Newt was pretty sure Mrs. Paige wouldn't have any time for himself. He was more than relieved when the bell rang, signalling that he could go home now.

Just as Newt stands up, he hears his principal call his name. He turns around, spotting the lady with Thomas next to him. Luckily for Newt, the alpha was storming off with an annoyed look on his face. As he passes Newt, he growls at him. Newt returns the favour by growling back.

"Come inside, we need to chat," she moves out of the way and Newt walks into her office. The room is rather large for just one person, but the school itself is pretty big.

Her scent is heavy, it's a strong perfume and a horrible alpha scent radiates off of her. Not only that, but he could smell Thomas.

Newt would never admit it, but he loves Thomas' scent. It was earthy with a hint of mint, making him want to lick over Thomas' scent glands to see if it tastes as good as it smells.

"Take a seat Newton," he cringes as she uses his full name. The two both sit down, Mrs. Paige at the opposite side of the desk.

They both sit there quietly, Newt looks around the room nervously, waiting for her to start.

Instead of speaking, she clears her throat, trying to catch Newt's attention. The omega looks at her, "what?" He asks, confused about what she wants from him.

"Bow your head," she commands.

Newt holds back an eye roll and ducks his head down. Omegas and betas are supposed to duck their head as a greeting to alphas; it shows respect. It's especially important when they're your principal.

"You may look up now," he does so, following her command and brining his eyes to meet hers.

Another mistake. Omegas should never look directly into alphas eyes when they are upset, it could trigger them and things could get violent. Mrs. Paige doesn't seem that bothered about it though.

"Newt, this is the 4th time this week you've been called into the principals office for your disobedient behaviour; not to mention you've been called into here prior to this week too," she reminds him.

Ever since school started, Newt has been a naughty omega, usually getting in trouble. "So I've decided that this is your last chance. If you show up here one more time, you'll be forced to take obedience classes," she threatens.

Newt's eyes widen and the fur on his ears rise. "What?! That's not fa-"

"Enough Newt! You will not cut me off!" She interrupts him, her eyes slowly turning red. No alpha has any tolerance for an omega who doesn't behave like one.

"But miss, we don't even have those classes," he protests. Newt couldn't believe this. It's not fair that just because he doesn't believe in omega standards, now he has to take classes.

"I'm sure I could find an alpha who'd be willing to teach you. Now I don't want to hear about this behaviour ever again, you hear me? Blow this chance Newton and you'll be learning how to be a proper omega."

A proper omega?! Newt is fuming at this point. His ears twitch with anger, as well as his tail. His brown eyes doing their best not to turn red. He remains silent, not daring to say a word.

"Do you understand me?" She growls out.

Newt nods his head silently.

"Good, now get out of my office." Newt didn't have to be told twice. He grabs his backpack and storms out of the room, just like how Thomas did.

Thomas.

This is all his fault. Thomas is always trying to push his buttons, trying to get a reaction out of the omega. Unfortunately, it worked, resulting in Newt punching him in the face. The omega was more than lucky Thomas didn't rip his head off his shoulders. It took the alpha awhile to even react.

But why?

Newt shrugs it off, deciding it's not worth thinking about. He makes his way to his locker and opens it, emptying his binders into it and grabbing his brown coat for his walk home. He shuts his locker and puts his jacket on. He swings his backpack over his shoulders and starts making his way out of the school.

The fur on his ears relax, giving off the impression that he's fine. Newt inhales deeply, smelling the earthy mint scent that belongs to Thomas. He leaves through the school doors and spots where the smell is coming from. Thomas is leaning against the school building, talking to Minho and a few other betas from his pack. He glares at Newt, making the omega feel rather small. He swallows and keeps walking, not wanting to show he's afraid.

As he walks, the smell fades, reassuring Newt that Thomas isn't following him. At least that's what he thought.

As Newt cuts through an alleyway to get home, the scent returns. Newt tries to ignore it, but it grows stronger. His ears twitch as he hears footsteps behind him.

He's just walking the same way as you, he won't hurt you, he's just going home too, Newt tries to reassure himself.

It's not until he's getting shoved against a wall that he realizes he's in danger.

Newt lets out a whimper as his head hits the brick building behind him. There stands Thomas, grabbing ahold of Newt's jacket collar and glaring into his eyes.

"You're such a little fucking bitch, you know that omega?" He growls out, his eyes turning red. Newt's heart beats heavily against his chest, he breathes in, only smelling earth and mint, as well as Thomas' alpha scent.

Newt swallows hard but puts on a brave face. "Don't be a twat about it," he says, hoping it'll make Thomas lay off.

Thomas is quick to toss Newt to the ground. The omega lands on his tail, causing him to yelp again. Just as he was in class, he's on his bum, backing up into a wall with Thomas standing over him, but this time, there's no one to save him.

"Good boy, sitting," Thomas mocks. He smirks down at Newt, smelling the fear and anger radiating off of the smaller teen.

Newt looks up at him with wide, angry eyes. "Just leave me alone Thomas," he says quietly.

"Leave you alone?!" Thomas grabs a fistful of Newt's hair and yanks him up, earning a hiss from the other. "You punched an alpha," he growls out while pushing Newt against the building again.

"Give me one good reason why I shouldn't tear your spinal cord out right now," Thomas whispers, his face getting closer to Newt's.

Before Newt could respond, he inhales. The scent stronger than it's ever been before. His mind goes blank and his pupils dilate. All he can think about is the smell and how it's making him feel.

Behave, he thinks to himself.

Newt lets out a shaky breath, "I-I'm sorry."
