A/N eee everyone seemed to like the last chapter and I'm very glad! I was planning on ending it there but I have more ideas so I guess we'll keep going!
This chapter isn't very good but as always- it serves purpose.

______________________________Thomas and Newt lean in, sharing a kiss. The salty tears don't stop them, they share a real kiss and for the first time in awhile, Newt feels safe.
~•~
The two walk back to Newt's house, holding hands together. They stand far apart, their arms almost fully straight as their fingers are linked. Newt doesn't look at Thomas, too scared to make eye contact. The whole nights been one big mess and Newt doesn't want to think about it anymore. They walk in silence, Thomas swings their hands slightly as a way to reassure Newt that everything's okay. They just need to get to bed. Newt sniffs occasionally on the walk, still having some tears in his eyes.
Thomas is his mate now and will be forever.
Newt doesn't notice himself tightening his grip on Thomas' hand. The alpha lets it slide, understanding this is a difficult and confusing time for the alpha. He's just happy he has Newt.
They walk for a few more minutes before arriving at Newt's house. His bedroom light is on and Newt realizes his mom is home. She's going to smell Thomas all over Newt and confirm they are mates. The omega lets out a loud groan, dreading the conversation ahead of him.
"What?" Thomas asks while turning to face him.
"My mum, she's going to know," Newt whines and dropping Thomas' hand and crossing his arms over his chest, almost hugging himself.
"I'm sure it'll be fine," Thomas says while putting his hands into his pockets and smiling softly. Newt lets out a small hum and his eyes drift towards the grass beneath his feet.
"What... what about your parents?" He looks back up at Thomas to see his reaction. He just shrugs his shoulder and his smile shrinks a little. Newt hasn't heard anything about Thomas' parents through their whole mate experience. Even when Thomas bullied him, he never knew anything about his parents.
Does Thomas have parents or siblings? He wonders what his family would be like or how they would react to Thomas mating with an omega. They must be alphas themselves or at least betas.
"They'll get used to it," he answers normally.
Newt lets out an airy laugh, not sure if him and Thomas are destined to be or destined to fail.
"Will I uh, see you tomorrow?" Thomas asks awkwardly, shifting the topic. He's not sure what to expect now that they are officially mates. They'll both have to ease into things.
Newt nods his head and scratches the back of his neck. "I guess so. I'll be at school Monday too," he adds.
Thomas' eyes light up and his tail wags behind him. "Really?" He asks excitedly.
Thomas wants to show Newt off and brag about his new mate. He knows it'll confuse a lot of people but he doesn't care, things aren't how they used to be.
"Yeah, my heat isn't affecting me anymore. I'll have lots to catch up on though," he holds back a groan when he realizes the amount of school work he'll have to do.
"Yeah, I wonder if you'll have to continue taking classes with me," Thomas smirks and crosses his arms over his chest. As much as he's joking, he's also serious. Newt was required to take obedience classes to learn to behave, but now that he's dating Thomas, that might change.
Newt rolls his eyes, "yeah right." He jokes. The two share a laugh before quieting down.
"Will you sit with me at lunch? With my pack?" Thomas asks while looking at Newt with hopeful eyes.
"I..." Newt goes quiet as he thinks.
Thomas frowns slightly and his ears droop. "You don't have to, it was just an idea. You can meet them later," Thomas reassures him, not wanting him to feel pressured. Eventually he'll have to have a pack meeting anyways and introduce Newt to everyone. His status as a lonely omega is going to change.
"No, no, it's okay. I got to meet everyone eventually," Newt gives a fake smile. He's afraid of Thomas' pack and he's not sure how they are all going to react. Especially Teresa. She must've been torn to find out about him and Thomas mating.
A smile returns to Thomas' face. "Okay, perfect. I'll see you tomorrow then," Thomas awkwardly backs away from Newt as he gets ready to leave.
"And Newt?" Thomas turns to him one last time.
"Yeah?" Newt asks, already blushing as his ears wait to hear what Thomas is going to say next.
"Thank you. For everything. We're going to be okay," Thomas' tail wags slowly behind him and he gives Newt a sympathetic smile.
Newt gulps and nods his head, wanting to trust what Thomas says. "Thank you," he says quietly.
Thomas just nods his head. He stands there for a few seconds but Newt doesn't say a word. Thomas lets out a sigh and starts walking away.
"Tommy!" Newt calls out.
"Yeah?" He turns around, just how he did when talking to Newt before.
"Text me when you get home? It's late," Newt says while looking around nervously. Nighttime always makes him nervous when he's out on his own- besides when he's in his wolf form.
Thomas flashes him a smile, "I will. I promise. Goodnight Newt."
"Goodnight Tommy."
Thomas walks away, leaving Newt to stand alone behind his house. The omega sighs before walking around his house and entering through the front door. He closes it and leans against the door, sighing heavily.
He wipes the tears brimming in the corner of his eyes and stands up straight, sniffling.
"Newt? Is that you?" His mom calls out.
The omega clears his throat and fixes his posture, not wanting to reveal the fact he was crying earlier. "Y-Yeah?"
"What were you doing out to late?" He hears her footsteps approaching. His ears tuck down and he ducks his head as his mother walks into the room. She gasps softly as she smells Thomas all over Newt.
"Oh Newt, my boy. What happened?" She asks sadly while approaching her baby. The omega frowns and his feelings of doubt resurface.
"He couldn't do it, he said he loves me," Newt tells her. She nods her head as she listens to him speak. "And for some bloody reason, I believe him," Newt lets out a hopeless laugh, calling himself an idiot inside his head.
His mother places a hand on his shoulder, looking at him endearingly. "Then it wasn't an accident," she opens her mouth to say more but Newt's phone beeps as he gets a notification.
She brings her hand down and Newt checks his phone.
Thomas sent you a snap!
Newt blushes and looks up at his mom.
"Go text him. We can talk later," she says while smiling. Newt lets out a small whine and ducks his head before muttering a thank you and going upstairs to his bedroom.
Before opening the snap, Newt gets ready for bed. He turns off the lights and lays in bed, pulling the blanket over his shoulder and curling into a ball. He opens Snapchat and finally opens the image.
It's a picture of Thomas standing in what appears to be his room, giving a thumbs up. The caption reads,
Home 👍
Newt feels himself well up in excitement. He blushes and his tail wags beneath the blanket. He's excited to be Thomas' mate.
