The fact that Thomas is worried about Newt makes him nuts in every way. He knows it shouldn't, but it does. It makes Newt wonder,
maybe Thomas really does care.

Days pass and it's finally Friday, it's after school and Thomas is with Mr. Janson, going over what he needs to teach Newt.
"I've put a folder together, so you can plan every class accordingly," he takes the sheets out of the folder and shows them to Thomas, explaining how his classes will be like Janson's, expect there will actually be an omega that needs teaching.
"These will just guide you on how to teach him and what to teach him, just incase you forget," Thomas wants to crumple the papers up and throw them away because he honestly couldn't care less.
He's going to teach Newt what he wants and how he wants, he doesn't need some sheets telling him how to do it.
"Your lessons with Newt will be in this classroom starting Monday. I won't be here but both of you are expected to fill out a sheet, saying what you taught and what Newt learned, to prove you two are actually doing the lessons. Then you will hand them in to Mrs. Paige. It'll be a week worth of lessons, unless Newt needs more," Janson explains to the other alpha. Thomas just nods his head, also hating that he has to write stuff down too.
He almost rather be supervised than have to scribble down nonsense just to prove he's teaching Newt how to be a good omega.
"I guess that wraps up our last lesson today Thomas. You're a stunning alpha and I'm sure you'll put that damned omega in his place. I'm surprised he hasn't been killed yet with that attitude," Janson growls out. Thomas can't help but send him a nasty look.
An overprotective feeling washes over him and he almost lets out a growl. He doesn't like the way Janson talks about Newt, deep down he really wishes he wouldn't even talk about Newt. He's aware that defeats the purpose of the classes, but hearing him say such awful things about his omega makes his skin crawl.
His omega... addressing as Newt as his omega makes Thomas feel all warm and fuzzy, it also makes him feel rather powerful and dominant.
"If you ever have any questions, just ask Mrs. Paige and she'll reach out to me. I can't wait to hear how his training goes," Janson gives a friendly smile before gathering all the papers and putting them back in the folder.
He then hands them to Thomas and the two of them leave, both going separate ways. Thomas stops outside the school before putting the folder into his backpack and begins his walk home.
Newt hasn't been at school since the day they had their bathroom incident. He must be really sick if it's been a few days.
Thomas wonders if it's going to be awkward when he sees the omega again. What's he supposed to say? Anything? Or does he just ignore what happened in the bathroom, which definitely didn't happen on accident.
Ignoring the situation seems like the safest option, but Thomas also took note on how he got Newt to submit.
He was simply nice to him. He showed Newt there was nobody around them, he locked the door, reassuring Newt that nobody would see him in such a vulnerable position. He praised his behaviour, he stroked his hair, he made Newt feel safe with him.
Maybe that's all Newt's ever wanted. He acts all cold and tough because nobodies ever approved of his soft side, everybody expects him to be weak, but Newt isn't weak, he just wants somebody to be gentle with him.
Gentle... Thomas thinks to himself.
He's never been gentle with Newt until that day in the bathroom. He's never given Newt a chance to be himself, he's only been cold and harsh to Newt, making the omega respond the same way.
But what would happen if he was gentle with Newt? What if he showed him he cared? But why does Thomas care? How come he's suddenly feeling bad for this omega, who a few weeks ago, Thomas couldn't care less about.
What changed?
Perhaps it was hearing how Janson would speak about the omega, perhaps it was the way Newt looked into his eyes, perhaps it was the first time Thomas saw the real Newt. His eyes told a different story, they were filled with innocence, a broken boy hid behind those eyes. A boy who just wanted to be loved and accepted for who he is, a boy fighting all by himself.
"Fuck," Thomas growls out loud to himself.
What's he supposed to do now? He's fucked up, he's fucked up badly. How is he supposed to teach Newt obedience classes if it'll only work if he feels safe. Yes, Thomas can probably work with him on his own, but during school, what happens then?
What happens when Gally and Alby start talking to him again. He'll never listen to those goons, he would never. Newt is just strong like that.
Strong, a word Thomas never considered calling Newt. Many words Thomas would never dare call him are filling his mind. All he can feel is guilty for the way he's treated this omega, yet a part of him still wants to see Newt on his knees, but maybe for different reasons.

Newt lays in bed, feeling a bit better. His mother got him pills and so far they've been working miracles. He's finally been able to focus on other things rather than his heat. He's been watching YouTube, laughing and smiling, he's been eating more too.
Of course they can't last forever though and the thought of Thomas always sends him back to where he was before. It's Friday and his heat definitely won't be over by the time it's Monday, meaning he most definitely won't be attending his classes with Thomas.
How could he when he's in heat? If he's not going to school he sure as hell isn't going to some submissive classes with the hottest alpha alive. Just thinking about Thomas makes Newt blush, he is in no condition to leave his house.
He just hopes the heat will be over sooner rather than later.
