Rewriting history

Tsireya walked around the whole village and showed me around like she said she would. I was so amazed by the sights and everything about the village, some parts even the movie didn't show.

And yet, no sign of the sullys

How far back in time am I?

Couldn't be too behind , I can't afford to stay here forever
I'd be lying if I said this whole place wasn't beautiful, it's a whole dream paradise, but this isn't my home as much as I would like it to be

I have to be able to get back home as soon as I can, I just have to figure out what led me to this place? I need answers, but who can I trust to help me find them?

"Are you okay?"

I looked up to see Tsireya waving her hand to my face, I might have dozed out in thought. I tend to do that a lot when I'm in stress, I guess I brought my strange habits with me to pandora as well

"Oh sorry! Yes I'm fine, just thinking is all"

I said fiddling with my four fingers behind my back, still was trying to get used to the four finger thing.

"Maybe a good swim will get you out of your thinking! Will you join me? It'll be lots of fun!"

She said excitedly grabbing onto my hand and leading me to the reef before I could even say yes

She led me to a familiar place from the movie, I could tell it's where the Sully kids first learned how to swim when they arrived. It was as beautiful as I expected it to be in real life, it still amazed me to see the many sea creatures under the water so clearly

Tsireya took a leap from the board and dived into the water, she did it so majestic , like a true mermaid. She then waved at me to come along

This was no problem for me since I loved to swim back in my universe, I was also on the swim team at school and I knew a thing or two about how to swim, so this should be a peace of cake

I dived in just like Tsireya did and swam to catch up to her

Tsireya submerged into the water and began swimming downward

Oh no

I forgot they know how to hold their breath underwater

This shouldn't be that hard, I am now metkayina so this should come naturally to me

I took a deep breath and submerged into the water so I could follow Tsireya, I kept on following her for awhile until I started to feel out of breath

Cmon you can do this Naya, just relax

I tried to hold it for a bit longer , I could definitely sense that it had been past a minute or so which normally I would be happy that I past my 45 second record underwater but I was so out of breath the only thing that mattered was getting air

I couldn't take it any longer and quickly swam up to the surface and gasped for air , I looked down to see Tsireya but couldn't tell what she was trying to tell me underwater since all she did was hand gestures, she swam up next to me while I was panting

" wow , you seem to be out of breath"

She said giggling to herself, I tried to smile at her but I was still very much out of breath so I gave her a sloppy smile instead

"I can barely go 40 seconds underwater, I'm surprised I even lasted a whole minute"

I said getting the water out of my eyes and face, Tsireya gave me a confused look

"You don't know how to hold your breath underwater? But you are metkayina?"

My eyes widened, she cannot figure out that I am actually not metkayina, nor am I supposed to be here in her world
