With the breeze

I came back to the same spot I usually train in, the same targets were still hung by two palm trees and there were a few arrows still on the ground from last night

The breeze felt like a touch of fresh water in the air that blends in perfectly with the night sky, even the sky had its own shine of illuminated glow just like the water did

The one thing that always ceases to amaze me in pandora is its incredible nature, how different it is back at home. I could never find an ocean with clear waters as it is here, or glowing night sky like pandora's

The city is much different from here, from all its light pollution hovering over us— we barely can see what's really above that. The stars, that's the one thing I loved about being able to swim at night. Staring at the moon and it's many stars scattered all over really makes you feel something ethereal

I recall a quote Jake said about pandora

It holds many dangers, but the most dangerous thing about pandora— you'll grow to love her too much

And that's exactly what I feel, I'm so captivated by this world, I almost forget it isn't real, I'm not meant to stick around for long. I have one goal only— save the boy.

"Are you alright?"

I heard Neteyam say immediately loosing my train of thought, I didn't even notice he showed up

"Oh sorry, I was just thinking.."

I said continuing to set up my bow and arrow, Neteyam only watched as he had a small smile on his face

"I'm going to stop you right there.."

He said as he grabbed my wrist gently causing me to stop what I was doing

"If I'm going to teach you how to hunt, you're going to have to do things my way"

He says as I let go of the bow and arrow leaving it in his hands, he sits down on the sand with the weapon on hold. He looks up at me and motions for me to sit down with him and do the same until we are sitting across from each other

"I see you're an expert at this"

I said watching Neteyam set up my bow and arrow in a different way I was trying to do it, his face was stern and focused on his works — it was sort of cute how well focused he was

"My father taught me how to hunt when I was younger, the bow and arrow was the first weapon I ever used"

He says as flashbacks came to mind watching him on my screen as Jake was teaching him how to hunt his very first fish

"So you became a hunter at a young age?"

I asked assuming from what I know from the movies but I don't exactly know everything that they do

"That's the way my dad taught me, but many of us in my village back at home start whenever they are fit to be ready"

He said as he finished setting up the bow and arrow and handed it to me

"Oh wow— that was quick"

I said impressed at Neteyams set up skills, although I wouldn't expect anything less from him. After all, he is Neytiri's son

"Thanks, you should see how long my brother used to set up his bow"

He said chuckling at the remembrance of Lo'ak, I smiled also imagining him struggling like I am right now

"I imagine he struggled like I am— seeing him ride an Ilu was quite entertaining"

I said as Neteyam smiled at the event that occurred earlier today
