"You know me better than I do, Can't seem to keep nothing from you,How you touch my soul from the outside? Permeate my ego and my pride I wanna love me The way that you love me" ~POV Ariana Grande

As I sit on my bed, back in my childhood room, my heart is full, and my eyes are weary. Mr. Hargreaves warned me that I would probably end up in the place where I know as my home rather than where I entered the portal. Well so suspected so was... I ended up back in the Caribbean, somehow I was found in the front yard of my grandparents home, collapsed and immediately rushed to the hospital. So you can imagine the confusion on my face when I woke up in an unfamiliar place. Good thing my sisters were there.

I remember the looks of relief on their faces when I sat up in that hospital bed. The doctors told me my babies were healthy and so was I, but my sisters demanded answers to which I didn't and still don't have for them. I had told them I got married and moved to a remote island where I hardly have cell service and they demanded more but told me that they will give me time to recover seen that my pressure was slightly elevated. That was all about a month ago. I moved in with my grandfather since he lives alone. I decided not to wallow in self pity any longer and got up to find him in search of a good conversation.

"Grandpa" I called out wobbling down the stairs

"I'm outback" He answered

I waddled my 7 months belly out the back doors and onto the patio as I watched him water his plants. I took a seat at the table where I saw my favorite snacks.

"Grandpa, can I have some of this?" I asked referring to the crackers and assorted cheeses

"Help yourself" He chuckled "That husband of yours would be happy to see how much weight you've gained over the past month" He said cheekily

"Never tell a woman she's gaining weight grandpa" I chuckled

"My apologies, Lady Bridgerton... you're as malnourished as you arrived" He said making me erupt in a fit of laughter

"Somehow you're still thinking I was under fed. I had no right to tell you about my time travels." I said shaking my head still unable to contain my laughter. "But I knew you would believe me" I shook my head

"Never did I think time travel was possible, but I did some digging in my father's old files, and I found a document from over 200 years ago. There was property being signed off to Anthony B. But the B was never discovered" He sighed "I think my father knew of the royal bloodline" he said now turning off the water hose

"What do you mean Anthony B? And the royal blood line?" I asked looking at him, I never told him Anthony's first name... I refer to him as Viscount Bridgerton

"My father" He said coming to sit next to me "He was taught to work for what he wanted... always a proud man never wanting handouts"

"But what does that have to do with anything?" I ask

"He always taught me that the monies I collected over the years were valuable, but money doesn't mean anything if you don't have a family" He shook his head "My grandfather, I learned was as stubborn as a mule... just as his grandfather. He left his home apparently both his parents and siblings" He frowned

"W-wait" I paused "I-if my math is correct you're saying you're what? Fourth generation to m-my unborn. How is that even possible?" I question

"I have no understanding of how it is possible, but it apparently is so" He shook his head

"We are not and I repeat NOT a mixed race family" I shook my head

"My grandfather was mixed race, and my grandmother was black" He smiled
