"I finished grading your test. Good job." Nishikawa handed Komaeda the paper.

"I got a 73? I've never been this good on an English test!" He smiled.

"Good job." He pat his head. "If you keep this up, you'll get your Ramen very soon,"

Komaeda grinned. "I'll do my best!"

Hinata and Komaeda were walking together. The stood on a pretty big bridge and stopped to look at the lake below it.

"It's starting to get a bit warmer," Komaeda said.

"Yeah. I can't wait for summer,"

"I prefer fall, but summer is nice too,"

"I really wanna go to the beach," Hinata told him. "Also, it's your birthday soon, isn't it?"

"Yep." He nodded. "Then I'm gonna be 17 too,"

"Is there anything you want?"

"Hm?" He looked at the other boy.

"Like, as a gift,"

"Hm... something with bunnies,"

Hinata nodded. "Alright,"

"Hinata-kun?"

"Yeah?"

"Have you ever held hands with someone?"

"With my girlfriend from when I was younger. It wasn't anything serious though. We barely knew each other,"

"And what about kissing?"

"Just one time. I kissed her on the cheek and we both thought it was gross,"

Komaeda laughed. "I've never kissed anyone,"

"Can I touch your face?"

"Mhm,"

Hinata nervously cupped his cheeks. Then, he leaned forward and gently pressed their foreheads together. Komaeda closed his eyes.

"What exactly are we doing?"

"We're being a couple,"

"Couples do this?"

"Be quiet. That's what they do in movies,"

Komaeda smiled. "Alright. I like being close to you like this,"

"I like it too,"

The next time Komaeda went to get tutored, Nishikawa looked a bit uncomfortable.

"Here's your test." He gave it to Komaeda.

"Woah, I got 100 points!" He grinned.

"Yeah. You nerd," He teased.

Komaeda pouted. "Don't make fun of me!" He playfully hit the other man's arm, but his wrist got grabbed. "Huh?"

"Look, Komaeda-kun, I'm not interested in you like that,"

"What?"

"I... saw you. At the bridge. With your... man,"

"I see. So?"

Nishikawa pushed Komaeda's hand towards him. "Let's... stay professional,"

"Do... you dislike me now?"

"No, it's not like that. I just... didn't know you were that kind of person. I won't tell anyone, of course,"

"And... what happened to eating Ramen together?"

Nishikawa shook his head. "Sorry, but... no,"

"You promised it though,"

"I know. I'm sorry, Komaeda-kun, but I don't want you to get the wrong idea,"

"But... you promised it,"

"Like I said, I'm very sorry,"

Komaeda sighed. "I see. Can you leave now?"

Nishikawa nodded. "Yeah. Have a nice day. And... you did a good job on the test." He got up and left.

The pale boy continued to sit at his desk in silence for a few minutes. Then, his eyes began to water. He didn't know why this made him so sad, but it did. He began to cry.

Komaeda grabbed his phone and called Hinata.

"Hey, Komaeda- are you crying??"

"Y-yes... my tutor said he'd go eat Ramen with me b-but he saw us on the bridge and now he said he doesn't want to anymore!"

"What?! What an asshole!"

"I was really looking forward to it..."

"You know what? We'll go eat Ramen together. It'll be our first date as a couple,"

"Really?"

"Yeah. How about Friday evening? At... 9 p.m.?"

Komaeda smiled. "Sounds great! You're the best!"

"No problem. I gotta go now. See you tomorrow,"

"Yes, see you!"

After hanging up, Hinata smiled, looking at Komaeda's profile picture, which was a photo of the pale boy.
