A New Life

Y/n Pov

The first thing I saw when I woke up was a tan roof. That's weird. Usually it's a dark brown attic roof. I slowly leaned up, pain shooting throughout my body as I did so. Looking around I was somewhere else entirely. I looked out the nearby window and instead of seeing miles and miles of trees, I saw what looked like a city. A few moments later the sound of a door opening startled me. Looking in that direction a woman with red hair and green eyes walked in.

???: "Oh! You are awake! Good. You had been asleep for quite some time. It was a good thing your dog found our daughter."

Y/n: "Zwei?" I let out hoarsely. My throat dry. "Where is he?" I struggled to say.

???: "He's down stairs. Playing with Pyrrha."

The unknown woman said.

???:"I'm so sorry I haven't even introuduce myself! My name is Erythrà."  She told me.

Y/n: "I'm uh... I'm Y/n." I said nervously, my voice still coarse and rough. She was holding a glass of water. I stared at it for I don't know how long. She must have noticed because not long after she said

Erythrà:"Thirsty? I figured you would be. Here. I will go get your dog."

She said, handing me the glass and leaving the room. I drank the entire glass in a matter of seconds, at the same time she walked back in the room with Zwei. He jumped out of her arms and ran up to me.

Y/n:"Hey boy. Gave you quite a scare huh?"

I said to him. Not expecting an answer.

Y/n:"Thank you. For finding someone."

I spoke before looking over to the woman. A small girl a few years younger than me stood next to her, looking at me.

Erythrà:"Y/n, this is Pyrrha. My daughter. The girl who brough us to you."

She said as the little girl looked at me.

Y/n:"Thank you Pyrrha, for saving my life."

I said, she looked at me sheepisly. She might have been a bit shy.

Timeskip- 3 days

Third person view

It had been three days since Y/n had been taken into the care of the Nikos family. Nightmares of his time in the Rose/Xiao Long family plauged him. Tonight was particularly bad as his dream cause electricity to arc up and down his body. Pyrrha being the ever curious girl she was noticed strange light coming from the room Y/n was in. Opening the door and approaching the bed, she could hear him mumble things like 'no' and 'stop it'. Reaching out to touch him the electricity had jumped and sent her crashing into the wall. The noise waking Y/n and everyone else in the house. A few moments later Erythrà could be seen entering the room to see Y/n cradling a very startled but otherwise okay Pyrrha repeatinf the words 'I'm sorry' over and over again.

Erythrà:"What happened?!"

She shouted in concern. Fearing he would be beaten again Y/n backed up and explained what happened.

Y/n:"I-I was having a nightmare and Pyrrha went to wake me up and then I shocked her by accident and-"

He continued to say as Erythrà placed a gentle hand on his head

Erythra:"It's okay. It was an accident. These things happen. Besides Pyrrha is okay."

She said as she pulled both of them into a hug.

Y/n:"Y-you aren't going to hit me are you?"

He asked, being used to beatings because of accidents

Erythrà:"Goodness no! Why would you ever think that?!"

She said, disturbed that a child would think of such a thing.

Y/n:"My last family would hit me because of accidents."

He said, revealing his rather abusive past. It was then that Pyrrha copied her mother and brought him into a hug. The tears on his face stopped flowing, and he paused. He did not know what to do so he simply wrapped his arms around the two of them in return.

Erythra:"You should try and go back to sleep. We have a very busy day tomorrow after all."

She said as she led Y/n back over to his bed. Laying down Y/n closed his eyes and tried to go to sleep.

Erythrà:"Good night Y/n. Sleep tight."

She said as she turned the light back off and closed the door.

Y/n:"Good night." He said before the door closed. "Mom." He mumbled before he fell asleep.
