in season 5 she's pretty happy (on the surface anyway). she's fresh out of middle school meaning she doesn't pay much attention to her looks and stuff bc she hasn't been as exposed to societal standards as hs girls have.
in season 6 she's still pretty happy. as u can see there's a bit of makeup on her face but not much. she's looking away bc she's looking away from luke and at other boys.
in season 7 is when she starts her more rebellious phase. she wears a lot more makeup and bold clothing and isn't happy at ALL. as u can see her hair is brown but darker than the other browns. this is bc while she wasn't friends with luke she dyed it super dark. when she goes back to luke, the dye is pretty much washed out, but it's still slightly darkened from it. although she loves luke, she's looking away from him because (until the very end of the season) she can't handle her feelings for him.
in season 8 she's looking at luke bc they're bc and gf now, but she's not exactly happy with her life bc she's not going to college, which makes her feel stupid, and there's also the incident where her dad almost beats her to death. she still has a kind of edgy style but it's not as aggressive as season 7.
i can't reveal much about the other seasons bc we're only up to 8, but i'll say what i can.
in season 9 she dyes her hair blonde. there's no reason for this, i just want a blonde era lol. she's still looking at luke, and this time she's smiling bc she's starting to get her life together.
pretty much the same thing in season 10 except she cut her hair and went back brown lol.
in season 11 she's very happy. she's not actually looking away from luke this time, she's looking into the future. she's much more mature now as u can see by the makeup. she dyed her hair black (again just because). she's finally content with her life.
