you say i'm selfish
and if that's the case then so are you.
you want me to sacrifice
my own happiness
just for you
and i don't do that shit anymore.
you miss the son who kept his mouth shut,
who kept up appearances
you miss the kid
who couldn't do anything for himself
you miss having control over me
you don't miss me
you didn't know me,
nor did you want to.
you kept your eyes shut
and refused to see
me.
if i'm selfish,
for prioritizing myself,
and my health,
then you're selfish too.
