A/N:  I'm sorry I know it's been awhile.  Between back and forth illnesses and other health issues, which I am still dealing with, on top of writer's block.  I've kind of been in a hard place with my writing.

I don't promise that I am ready to be back on a regular update schedule yet.  I'm hoping to be able to update this story again May 12th, but I am behind in Alluvion's Water Lily also.  I don't plan on moving on with story again until I know I am where I want to be in Alluvion's Water Lily to update it as well.  If I am able to update AWL May 5th then I should be essentially back on track, but I am not going to promise that at this stage in the game.

The second half of this chapter is a little NSF at the beginning but doesn't quite go into the spicy category.

Walking along the cobblestone streets of Abaddon I couldn't help but wish that I had stayed behind to make sure that Everleigh was okay. I was thankful that she had 6 other Mates to watch over her, but after watching her fall from the sky like that, watching her body seem to just break on impact as she collided hard with the ground. There was no way I could have prepared myself for something like that.

After getting over my anger I decided to take the next step on my own. It was time to attempt to confront Aphrodite. I knew though that there were certain protocols I would have to go through, and of course the first was going to her office and hoping her son, Eros, who is her second in command, will hear me out. In my opinion, as well as many others, he truly wasn't the best choice; her parental pride probably blindsided her when it was time to make her choice on who to appoint as her second in command. It wasn't that he had a bad work ethic. No, it was more like he didn't have a work ethic to speak of, and he most definitely was not occupationally motivated in the slightest. No, the half Greek God half Incubus more often spent his time planning and attending orgies than sitting behind an office desk working.

As I walked in I thanked my lucky stars. Not because for once Eros was actually doing his job; no, he most definitely had to be occupied with something else. The reason I was thrilled was because behind the desk was Hedylogos. He was lower in the Dominion hierarchy, but, aside from Aphrodite herself, he was more than likely the most clear thinker within the ranks of the Dominion of Lust. He was also most definitely the member of the Dominion of Lust that I would have ranked as the one who should have been offered the second seat directly under Aphrodite in the first place. Once again I believe her parental pride blindsided her, and since he is not one of her children she didn't think of him at the time of recruiting her ranks.

Before becoming a demon Hedylogos was the God of sweet talk. That was quite lucky for me because it meant I could deliver the news to him first and he would relay the news to Aphrodite repackaged with his ethereal sweet verbal wrapping paper and tied up with fanciful bows of endearments.
