Dom and Letty

Vaccinations

It has been a week since Prius was all settled in her home.

"I'm glad she likes it here"
"Of course she likes it, it's her home. She's going to grow up here"

"Dom don't forgot we have to take her for her vaccinations today".
"Does she really need to be poked and prodded with those neddles".
"It's for her health, I want my baby to be happy and healthy".
"I know, me too. It's just I don't think I can go through seeing her in pain".
"Damn, I just realized that too,... But it's for her best".

"What time is her appointment?"
"It's in an hour"
"We better get her ready".

Dom changed Prius's diaper with ease.

"You're getting better Toretto"
"It's easy you just got to practice".

Letty changed Prius into a blue onesie with cars on it while Dom packed everything they might need: diapers, extra bottles of milk, a change of clothes, toys and some wet wipes.

"Do you have everything?" Letty asked carrying Prius.
"I think that's everything we need".

Prius was in her car seat next to Letty while Dom drove.
She was really good throughout the whole journey.

"She's a really good baby, she rarely ever cries".
"She's a Toretto that's why".
"She has a little Ortiz blood in her too!"

They arrived at the clinic, took their number and waited patiently in the waiting room. Prius was on Dom's lap and Letty was entertaining Prius with her toys.

"Prius Jane Toretto " a nurse called out.
"We're here".
"The doctor will see you now".

"You ready baby"? Dom asked his daughter.
Prius just gurgled.
"I'm going to take that as a yes".

The pediatric room was colorful and very beautiful decorated with stickers and paintings.

"Sujitha?" Letty asked surprised.
"Hey guys".
"What are you doing here?"
"I'm the pediatrician here".
"That's a relief, it's a good thing we know you, I don't want some sick psychopath touching my daughter".

Sujitha laughed "don't worry she's in safe hands, it's says here she's supposed to get her second dose of hepatitis B shots".
"That's accurate".

Sujitha checked Prius's temperature, her heartbeat and her physical condition.

"She's doing just fine, very healthy baby, she's got a good temperature, consistent heartbeat and she's growing perfectly.

Letty and Dom were happy to here that.

"Now comes the hard part, he vaccination, I suggest you keep her distracted while I do it.

Dom and Letty tried distracting their daughter with her toys and making weird faces, while Sujitha prepared the injection.

"Be careful with my baby" Letty said concerned.

Sujitha slowly injected the shot into Prius, at first she was fine then she started crying screaming at the top of her lungs.

"I know it hurts baby" Dom said soothing his daughter.
"Dom I can't see her like this, it hurts so bad, she's in so much pain".
" I know Let, it hurts me too".

After a lot of soothing from Dom and Letty, Prius finally stopped crying and she was in her mommy's arms after.

At home Dom was feeding Prius a bottle of breastmilk.
"You must really like this stuff, I wonder how it tastes like, you know what I'm going to have a taste oh and ummm don't tell mommy okay".

Dom took a sip.
"Wow it's actually really good!"

Dom took two more sips then Letty caught him.

"Shame on you Dominic Toretto, stealing you daughters milk".
"It tastes really good, couldn't help myself".
"Give me that bottle" Letty said grabbing the bottle from Dom .

" Was daddy stealing you milk?"
"My daughter was sharing with me".
"Yeah, I'm sure she was".

Letty was feeding Prius the rest of her milk.

"Letty, you're a good mom you know that?"
"Aww thanks, you're a fantastic dad".
"We may have our flaws here and there, but it's a learning process and we're getting better day by day" Dom said kissing Prius on the cheek.

"Toretto ever since Prius came into our lives, you're getting soft".
"Don't you like that?"
"I do, no matter what you're still the same Toretto but it's nice to see you bring your soft side once I a while."

Dom smiled at Letty and kissed her.
