The first semester came to an end, and we were given a two week break to relax. Most students just barricaded themselves in their dorms, or going out to clubs with mass amounts of friends. However, today was... different. Ruby had been adamant on hanging out with me today, and I have I slight idea as to why. But, since I love teasing her so much, I'll play along.
"Where to next, Ruby?"
"O-Oh! Um... How about a small break at that café?"
"Sounds good to me. You know, it's almost like we're on a date~"
"A-A-A date!? I-If you want to see it that way." Her face was bright red, but she had the goofiest smile plastered on her face confirming what I knew.
Of course, I'm not a total bitch, and I do like her quite a bit. Not 100% romantically, but if she asks, I have no reason to decline.
We stayed at the café, where Ruby ordered a strawberry parfait and I ordered a (insert café food).
It was quite delicious, and Ruby seemed to enjoy her parfait. After we ate, I decided to pay the bill, which made Ruby a bit mad, but I forced her to accept it anyways.
"You could've at least split the bill! I mean, isn't it also the inviter who's responsible for paying the bill?"
"Yes, but you've been spending money on us all day. I might as well contribute some so you don't waste your entire wallet."
"Hmph, fine."
I giggled slightly as I pat her head, embarrassing her even further, but I was only met with cute grumbles.
We continued on for the day, having quite a lot of fun. After a while, we stopped at a nearby park. It was empty, except for the occasional wild animal here and there.
"Um... You know... I-I had a lot of fun with you today, Y/N."
Ah, it's already coming?
"I had fun with as well Ruby. Maybe we should do this again another time."
"Y-Yeah! Definitely!"
She's not saying it. Hm.... I had started to get up off the bench we were sitting on before she grabbed hold of my arm, not tightly, but the "don't go just yet" hold.
"Ruby?"
"I-I um... Do you... uh... want to go o-out with me? L-Like... be each others..."
"Girlfriends?"
"W-Well... Yes! I-I mean, only if y-you want to. I-I have these feelings a-and-"
"I know. You don't hide them very well."
"Oh... oh no..." She covered her face in embarrassment, causing me to crack a smile.
"I would love to be your girlfriend, Ruby." I removed her hand from her face, looking directly into her bright silver eyes, her face growing more and more in an ecstatic smile.
"D-Does that mean we're... y'know... t-together?"
"It does~" I cupped her face and slowly leaned towards her, my cute girlfriend who's like putty in my hands.
"W-Wait! I-I'm not ready for that just ye-" I leaned in more and pressed my lips against her cheek, giving her a slight smooch. "O-Oh..."
"I~ Love~ You~"
After my words, it seemed like she may have fainted from embarrassment, so I picked her up and brought her back to Beacon, no longer simply as friends and teammates, but now as lovers. Well, maybe.
We'll see how it goes~
