The next morning, Hollis got up extra early took a shower quietly. She got herself ready for school then quietly snuck out while Winnie was passing out breakfast plates. When Winnie realized she still had a plate she realized Hollis was missing.
"Where is Hollis?" Winnie said
Timothy got a message on his phone, "If she asks tell her I left. That I had a student council meeting. I'll just grab some McDonald's."
"Oh, um I just got a text. Hollis forgot she had a student council meeting this morning. She is already gone and said she grabbed some McDonald's." Timothy said
"Oh.." Winnie said
Bucky looked down, he knew all that was a lie. Later that night at dinner Hollis wouldn't even look in Bucky's direction. She kept her door shut and locked while Bucky dealt with his internal struggle of letting her go.
