After being home a few days, Bucky drove his car to Hollis' house. He got the stuff he bought her out and walked to the door.
Nick and Collette answered the door, "Little James, what are you doing here?" Nick said
"I'm sorry that my actions caused Hollis to get hurt. I never meant for her to get caught in the cross fire." Bucky said
"Thank you James, come on I'll show you to her room." Collette said
He followed her up the stairs, Collette knocked on her door.
"Hollis baby someone is here to see you." Collette said
Bucky walked in, and a smile stretched across her face. "Bucky" she whispered
"Hey, sorry it took so long." He said
"You brought me gifts. That's not like you.." she said in her raspy tone.
He looked down, "Mom said your voice was getting better." He said as he got closer.
"Let's not talk about that, what did you bring me?" She said
"I brought you a pot of mom's seafood gumbo, 100 hot pink roses, a pink black and silver balloon bouquet, hot pink rose bear, a chocolate chip mocha frappe from Starbucks and lastly hot pink cupcakes." He said
"I love it. All my favorites!" She said
He sat down beside her on her bed, "I'm sorry Hollis, I really am. Especially now that I have seen your room." He said as he saw her cheer trophies, and other cheer recognition.
She placed her hand on his, "Don't do that. Just lay here with me I don't want to talk about it anymore. I have to do that enough in therapy. Tell me about Texas." She said
"Mom told you." He said as he kicked off his boots and took off his leather jacket.
He laid beside her then she laid on his chest. "Please don't leave me again." She whispered.
He gulped as tears welled, "I won't." He whispered
