The Next Morning

I didn't get any sleep at all last night because of my broken heart. I felt like a wreak, I was crying a majority of the time thinking about my parents that I forgot about sleep, and right now I just feel tired.

It was early in the morning, Farlan and Levi were still asleep so I thought I would try and make something.

I looked around the kitchen part of the room, looking for food. I open a cabinet and noticed how much food they had inside, this surprised me. I opened another cabinet and it too as well was full of food, I was shocked on how much I've seen. I noticed they had a few eggs, and just seeing them surprised me, it was hard for my family to get eggs so usually we had them once every month or so. I grabbed the small box and began my process of cooking. I tired my best not to make too much noise to avoid waking the two up.

As the smell of freshly cooked eggs filled the air I couldn't help but smile, just from doing small things like this helped me forget about the loss of my parents.

A small creek came from the floor that caught my attention quickly, I followed the sound where it came from and noticed it was Farlan coming into the room.

He shook his hair and yawned. He wore a white T-shirt and his dark pants, with his feet bare. One thing that caught my eye was when he was shaking his hair out I couldn't help but notice him slightly flex.

I felt a sudden funny tingly feeling run though me before my face grew warm. Wait, why is my face getting hot? I looked at the eggs as they were cooking. I-it was probably the heat... Yeah, the heat.

"Smells so good, whatcha making?" He asked slightly smiling.

"Just eggs... I hope it's okay." I said.

"You're fine, don't worry about it."

I smiled and returned to cooking. "Farlan?"

"Yeah?" He replied.

"If you don't mind me asking, um, how old are you?" It was a little to awkward having silence so I decided to at least have a conversation started. Hopefully this help break some ice.

Farlan sat down in the couch. "I'm 20. How about you?"

"Oh, I'm 13." I said smiling.

He looked at me surprised."Really? I thought you were 16."

"Are you saying I look old?" I teased.

He shook his hands in front of him, "N-no I just thought that because you seem mature for your age."

I giggled. "Farlan I was just teasing you."

He chuckled a bit and rubbed the back of his head.

It got silent again and I didn't like that feeling. Come on Y/n, keep talking. "Um, how old is Levi?"

"He's 20, speaking of which, he should be turning 21 here soon."

"Really? I thought he was younger then you." I grabbed a plate from the small stack I seen and put the freshly cooked eggs onto there.

"Are you saying I look old?" He put a hand on his chest, pretending to be offended.

I giggled. "No, I mean Levi looks young for his age, and well... shorter."

"Don't let him hear you say that." He grinned before putting a finger to his lips.

I closed my mouth and giggled. Farlan smiled and sighed. I cracked one more egg and began cooking it. I heard another creek and noticed Levi coming into the room.

He rubs his right eye slightly, ascending his grey eyes to us. He wore a plan white t-shirt like Farlan with his dark brown pants, and his feet were cover with his socks.

I felt some what awkward when around Levi, compared to Farlan. When I'm around Farlan I can be more social with him, like we get along better but Levi on the other hand, we haven't even spoken one word to each other. The only time we have said something was when we first met but that was it. No other conversation was ever started between us. Another thing to is Levi was kind of scary, like he was angry over something. Or he doesn't wanna be messed with. So I try to keep my distance away from him.

"Any word?" Levi asked as he walked towards the couch, before standing beside the arm rest.

"Not yet, I should be able to get something by today, I hope." Farlan said.

They began talking while I finished the last egg listening to there conversation. Once I finished I put the egg onto the plate with the rest and put it down on the table ahead.

"Breakfast is ready." I said quietly.

They both got up still talking, and began walking towards to table. I looked at the plate noticing I didn't grab the other plates and silverware.

"Uh..." I started.

"What? What's wrong?" Farlan asked.

"N-nothing, um, where do I find the other plates and silverware?"

"Don't worry, I got it." Farlan said walking over to the kitchen.

I stood by a chair, and watched Levi sat down in the one across from me. We both caught each other's eyes, I felt suddenly awkward just standing there as we both looked at one another for the longest time.

Say something Y/n! What are you doing just staring at him?

"Um... Hi." I said.

He didn't say anything but look at me with an intense glare. I blinked a few times and averted my gaze. Okay, I guess he's not very the talkative person. I sat down in my spot while Farlan came back to the table with a plates and silverware.

"These look good, don't you think Levi?" Farlan asked sitting down in between the chair of Levi and I.

Levi nodded his head once.

I smiled slightly. "Thanks."

This is just the start, I'm doing pretty good, I just hope it continues to grow and become better for me.
