"This will be my second move since becoming a vampire."

"Second Mom?" Cassie asked.

"I moved here from Loren."

"That is right. You lived with Uncle Athos." Cassie said.

"I did and that was after I moved out of my little cottage."

"Great-grandpa, why would you have to tell the other Elders about us moving?"

"Remember Quinn, our next gathering will be held across the Ocean in a hundred years. If the Elders want to use the area the Council is in they will have to ask them first."

"Oh?"

Cassie leaned close to me. "Mom what is that smell?" Paddy's smile faded.

"You are probably smelling the mortals that your mother found today."

"You found mortals? Where?"

"In one of the storerooms on the lower levels." I said.

"What?! How did they get in?" Cassie was shocked.

"They walked in with the shifters a couple of months ago." I said.

"Where are they now?" Cassie wondered.

"They are in Katey's kitchen eating. Katey knew them."

Cassie sat up. "She knew them? Their names would not be Connor, Mike and Suzie McCurdy. She has been worrying about them for a while now."

"Have you seen them Cassie?"

"Once, when I went with her to pick up her supplies at Fraser's Pub."

"What kind of supplies would she get from a pub?" Liam wondered.

"Herbs and spices. He has a huge garden in the back of the pub." Cassie shook her head. "They were here the whole time." She smiled.

"How far were they down in the cavern?"

"They were on the third level from the bottom."

"That far down. Will we be able to move them higher?"

"We should move them to a room near Katey's."

"Good idea Dad."

Cassie and Quinn jumped up. "Let us go meet them."

"All right. The two of you go down and see if Katey needs any help with them. You can move their things to the room two doors to the right of Katey's quarters."

"The one that is closer to the kitchen, right?"

"Yes Cassie, that is the one." Paddy smiled.

"Cassie you said 'McCurdy', right?"

"Yes Mom I did."

She was so excited she ran out with her brother.

"Kylie what is it?"

"The name sounds familiar."

"Oh?"

I went into Paddy's meeting room and looked at my genealogy chart.

I was right they were familiar. They were Pete Henry's great-great-grandchildren.

"They are your descendants, are they not?" Paddy said quietly behind me. I looked at the death of their mother. "It has been almost ten years since their mother died."
