I wonder what Mars feels like.
Is it sad and lonely up there?
Or is it more special,
because you are closer to the Sun.
Seems like the world will always be reaching,
Slowly pulled apart by desire, greed, and negligence.
Empires and civilizations rise and fall,
While above, scarlet smoke hovers above the Martian atmosphere.
Do little green creatures hide beneath its craters?
Do secrets lie within its toxic clouds?
Curiosity is what lifts us up.
The first human to go to Mars,
will be the first human to truly fail.
