When your skin blisters with the urge to smoke
Drag claws down your cheeks until they are blood-soaked
Every beat of your heart sends your chest caving in
Who knew greed was such a delightful sin?
Sometimes I wish I could lay my hands flat
On either side of my face, twist them then clack!
My head spins into a dizzying race
The world tilts until my hands are buried in gold
On the morrow,
my greedy eyes will burn of something else
And yesterday's lust will all be sold
The sounds of my hunger is sweeter than church bells
