Ayleen's POV
"I think it was very sweet of her to do," George shrugged as he sat on the couch facing my desk in the studio.
"Seriously? I understand when Mia says that because she wasn't here during that time and doesn't understand what Clara put me through, but coming from you is a low blow," I crossed my arms in front of my body.
"I am with George on this one. She did nothing wrong. You even said that yourself. She didn't look your way or try to talk to you until she heard you tell Avery to back off," Mia said as she sat next to George. "And you were passed out. She could have taken you to her house, but she dropped you off at George's. She was a gentlewoman."
"It's all part of her games," I scoffed, looking at George for backup, but he said nothing, making my anger increase.
"Ayleen, we are not against you, but we are not exactly on your side either. You need to talk to her. It'll give you the closure you need," George said, tapping his fingers on his knees.
I was about to answer him when a knock on the door interrupted our conversation.
Mia opened the door, letting a man enter with a beautiful bouquet of white lilies, my favorite flowers. I felt a knot in my stomach, fearing the worst. "Delivery for Miss Ayleen," the man said, and Mia pointed in my direction.
Walking towards my desk, he set the flowers on it and asked me to sign before walking away.
I looked between George and Mia, puzzled. My attention soon went back to the beautiful flowers. A card was carefully placed between them.
Hesitantly, I reached towards the card.
I hope you are feeling better. You looked beautiful. Yours always, Clara.
After a few long seconds of staring at the card, Mia snatched it and read it out loud to George. Hearing the words leave Mia's mouth snapped me out of my daze.
I got up, grabbed the bouquet, and threw it in the trash. "That asshole!" I screamed angrily.
"Ayleen, I'm sure she meant no harm," Mia said, and I shot her a warning look, making her immediately shut up.
When another knock on the door was heard, I looked at George, scoffing.
"Let's see what she sends this time!" I said, walking to the door. I opened it angrily and saw three men standing outside my door. One of them was in his fifties and had greyish-black hair. He wore an expensive designer suit. The other two men stood behind him and were bigger in size, making me assume they were his security guards.
"Yes?" I asked, confused and slightly intimidated.
"Are you the producer?" He said, looking down at me.
"I am Ayleen. How can I help you?" I said, as I saw George and Mia come to my side with the corner of my eyes.
"Hm, I am Henry Garcia. I trust that I don't need to tell you who I am," he said, adjusting his tie while looking around the studio with a condescending look.
"The only person who can be that confident introducing herself is Beyoncé. And you are not Queen B," George said, stepping between me and the man, causing his two guards to take a step forward.
"And who are you?" Henry said, looking George up and down.
"You came to our door, so I should be questioning you about walking in here and overwhelming my friend with your passive-aggressive attitude," George said, snapping his fingers, making Henry clench his jawline with anger.
"This place is exactly as I thought it would be. I came to tell you to move your studio to another place. My company is in the same building, and we have important clients. I don't want them running into scumbag musicians," he said, keeping his eyes locked with George, who let out a loud gasp.
