I must have fallen asleep again because I suddenly sit up when I hear crying and yelling, I feel Sammy get a tight grip on me like I was going to drop him and I put my arm around him.

I only heard one voice which was Calum's he must have been on the phone, but why was he crying. I start to listen to see if I could work out who it was.

"So your just going to run off with my so called best friend and leave me here with your son without even saying goodbye and not even telling him!" He yells through his sobs

It was silent for a couple of minutes and then I hear a scream and I thump and I assume he has just thrown his phone out of anger and I hear footsteps coming towards my room but they stop just outside my door and I can see his shadow.

"I'm awake, has she left?!" I ask my voice starting to crack as the door opens slowly and he walks in sitting on the bed

"Yeah she's gone mate." He cries and I bite my lip seeing the really hurt look in his eye

"Don't blame yourself for her leaving." I say a tear slipping down my cheek

"I'm not I'm blaming my so called friend Ashton, he's the one who has been fucking her on the side." He mumbles and walks out without another word

A few more tears roll down my cheeks as I hear his sobs coming from his room, I was the one who drove her away, it's me I was horrible to her.

A while after Sammy has woken up we go into the lounge room I sit him on the couch turning cartoons on for him and make him some toast and give it to him while I sit at the kitchen table on my laptop.

I chew on my thumb nail with all these bad thoughts going through my head blaming myself. It must have been an hour or so and my phone goes off. It was my best friend Michael asking why I wasn't at school.

"Come over after school, I'll tell you then. A few things have happened." I replied and put my phone back on the table

I don't get a reply after that and I look over at Sammy and walk over to him "let's give you a bath and we can go to the park." I say and he just nods standing up on the couch as I pick him up

I carry him to the bathroom and undress him running the bath and putting him in, I sit next to the bath with his teddy bear in my lap. I get him out drying him and dressing him and then we walk to the park which was down the street.

He goes down the slide on the swings and runs around and I smile as I watch him, it was a good couple of hours we were down there and on the way home I carry him and he falls asleep in my arms.

I put him into my bed and go check on Calum, I go up behind him putting my hand on his shoulder "dad, is there anything I can get you?" I ask

He just shakes his head and pushes my hand away "if you need anything just yell out." I say and walk out again shutting the door and go lay on the couch

I stay there until Sammy comes out and lays on top of me and goes back to sleep and then Michael comes around being the loud mouth that he is and I put my finger up to my mouth and look at him as I sit up.

"Who's kid?!" He asks raising an eyebrow and sits down

"it's my dad's son, but he wants me to be his dad so I am." I say biting my lip as I hear Calum sobbing again "and mums left us before you say anything about his sobbing." I mumble quickly wiping a tear off my cheek

He sits there in shock "woah I'm sorry dude." He says rubbing the back of his neck

"It's okay, she ran off with Ashton." I mumble and he just hugs me and Sammy

It was silent for a while and then Sammy wake up and just glares at him hiding his face "who's that scary man with funny coloured hair?" He mumbles into my chest and I chuckle

"That's my friend Mikey, he won't hurt you." I say rubbing his back as Michael giggles

We sit down and start playing with some toys together as I think about telling Michael about my dream, I almost blurt it out but I just bite my tongue running the bar between my lips.
