I was sitting in this shitty little interview room thinking about that dream, I push it to the back of my mind when the cop walks in. I just glare at him at he sits down.

"You do know I have 2 kids at home?! Both under the age of 16!" I mumble plating with my tongue bar

"Yeah, I know I'm sure there fine." He says sassily and puts his file on the table in front of him "so we found these drugs in your bedroom." He says as another officer puts the evidence bag in front of me

"I've never seen them before and I have never done drugs." I mumbled snappily

"Take a good look at these pictures for me. Do you recognise any of them?" He asks laying 3 pictures in front of me

I lean forward and look at them "that's my ex wife, my ex best friend her new boyfriend and another mate of mine who was most likely fucking her too." I say leaning back in the chair

"So you have a motive to murder them?! There all dead and we have evidence that puts you at the scene of the crime." He says and I sit there looking confused as all shit

"I didn't even know where they were living, so why would I kill them?! Yes I was mad but I'm not aggressive." I say raising an eyebrow

"You had the perfect motive, your hair and fingerprints were at the scene and also your shoe print. Where were you last Tuesday night at 9pm?" He asks getting his notebook out

"I was at home with the 2 kids, watching movies and we fell asleep on the couch." I any knowing Luke would be able to confirm it

"Right, and they can confirm your where about for that night?" He asks and I roll my eyes and lean forward

"Yes, Luke can confirm whereabouts for that night. He was laying on top of me asleep and I couldn't move." I snap getting really pissed off

Fucking dicks couldn't care less about what I am saying they just know I have a motive but I'm not violent. Luke's probably freaking out and Sammy wouldn't have any idea what's going on and this dick is talking and I'm not listening.

The only thing I heard from another officer walking in was "his bail has been paid, his whereabouts has been confirmed and we have to reap lease him we have nothing to hold him with." He says and takes the handcuffs off and walks me out

As I get pushed out i see Luke Michael and Sammy talking to someone and then Luke spots me putting Sammy in Michaels arms and he runs over latching onto me.

"It's okay, everything's okay." I say rubbing his back as he cried into my chest

"I thought you would be gone for good." He cried

"I'm not going anywhere. I promise, how did you get the money to pay?" I ask lifting his head up and looking into his eyes

"Michaels dad and that officer is his dad's friend." He mumbles looking back into my eyes

I put my arm over his shoulders and go over to them I take Sammy seeing Michael was struggling to hold him because he gets heavy when he sleeps.

"Thank you Michael, and tell your dad I said thank you it means a lot. I don't know what would have happened otherwise." I say looking at him

"Anytime, you know that. Anything you need just ask." He says smiling

We walk him home just so I know he gets there safe, he hugs Luke and I hug him tanking him again and he goes inside and I start walking home with Luke and Sammy.

"I heard about mum." Luke mumbles looking up at me

"They told you, did they tell you they thought I did it?!" I ask looking at him

"Yeah, but you didn't did you?" He asks

"No, no I would never do that. I'm not violent and you know that, I was with you the whole night on the couch." I say putting my arm around him

"I know I was just making sure." He mumbles holding onto me tightly

We walk inside and I go out Sammy down in his bed since it was starting to get late and I come out to the kitchen seeing Luke was making us a cuppa and he sits on the bench waiting for the kettle to boil.

"Mikes a good kid and he has a nice family." I say leaning on the bench next to him

"Yeah he is, I've known him since I was little." He says crossing his legs

I smile and hand him a cup sitting up on the bench next to him as I take the other cup "I'm sorry you had to go through that today, I know you have a lot going through your head right now and that would just make things worse." I say and take a sip

"It's okay dad, these things happen." He mumbles and I can see him staring at nothing

We sit there in silence drinking our coffees I was playing with my tongue bar and snake bites staring at the wall, when something I wasn't expecting happens.
