i thought he was the one
who taught me how to love
his charm was just a mask
he used to hide his ways of abuse

when i met you
i thought your little smile
his the pains you would inflict on me
i believed you'd be another nightmare
that would plague my teenage years.
but i know now
you've never worn a beautiful mask
to hide the true intentions of your heart
you are simply heaven
in the way you talk
and walk
and smile at me
you taught me what it means to be loved.
