Still in flashback btw...

"Wait, what?"

You wondered why Wilbur was holding an election and what was going on. It seemed strange to you.

"It's kinda weird that he's doing that," you muttered.

"Who cares? He's attractive. Didn't you say you've never been to L'manburg before? I promise you, it's amazing," Delilah said.

"You could come with me if you want," you suggested.

"I would, but you know how my parents are. I got grounded for spending too much," Delilah replied.

"Haha, your loss," you chuckled.

Just then, a knock at the door interrupted your conversation.

"Delilah! Y/N!" a familiar voice called from outside your house.

"Ugh...not him again," Delilah groaned.

"What chu guys talking about??" Jared barged in, wearing a mischievous grin.

"Oh, welp. Please welcome to my home, I guess," you said, slightly annoyed.

"Just girl stuff," Delilah quickly responded.

"I wanna join! I know you two can't resist my charm--"

"Jared! Hey! How about you accompany me to this new bookstore that just opened?" Delilah interrupted.

"See! I knew one of you would like me back!" Jared exclaimed with a smug look.

You mouthed a silent "Thank you" to Delilah, who nodded in response.

With a sigh, you began cleaning up the mugs and decided to head down to your secret basement where you kept your prized possessions.

In your basement, you pressed a secret button concealed within the stone wall. With a soft rumbling sound, a section of the wall slid aside, revealing a hidden chamber. Stepping inside, you found yourself in a vast room, meticulously designed to showcase an impressive collection of weapons. The walls were lined with sturdy weapon racks, displaying an array of netherite swords, axes, and bows, their polished surfaces glinting in the dim light. The room was well-lit, illuminated by strategically placed torches, casting dancing shadows across the stone floor.

As you walked further into the room, you couldn't help but marvel at the craftsmanship and attention to detail put into each weapon. The netherite blades, known for their durability and strength, gleamed with an otherworldly aura. The bows, intricately crafted with spider silk strings and feathered arrows, exuded an air of precision and deadly accuracy.

Returning to L'manburg felt like stepping into a brewing storm. Tension filled the air, and the sense of an upcoming war loomed over everything. Despite your months of solitary training, the villagers saw you as a kind-hearted girl who loved gardening and sipping tea. Keeping your true identity hidden was vital to avoid unnecessary attention or rumors. Wearing a black mask to cover your lower face became a necessary precaution, at XD's urging. You didn't want to anger the Demi-God, so you went along with it. Quickly you covered your outfit with a dark brown cloak.

You went to your horse, preparing for the journey and soon Delilah join you to say goodbye. You also noticed Jared isn't around her anymore. You didn't want to question her because both you and her hated him.

"Have a safe journey, Y/N. Come back soon, alright?" Delilah hugged you tightly, her genuine concern evident in her voice.

"Thank you, Delilah," you replied, returning the embrace.

Mounted on your trusty horse, you embarked on the journey to L'manburg. It took around two hours of riding to reach your destination, the bustling town that was now filled with an even larger crowd.
