They Say

Raven hair blew freely in the wind,
They say she was a mortal sin.
*
Sky blue eyes pressed tightly shut,
They say her words did corrupt.
*
Red lips trying to suck a breath,
They say she only brought out death,
*
Black nails scratched at her throat,
They say evil was what she wrote.
*
Delicate feet kicked in the air,
They say of her we should beware.
*
Slinder body jerked in its swing,
They say she did the most wicked things.
*
Knotted rope held till it was done,
They say with the devil she was one.
*
All went still and the witch was dead,
They say she came back and took their heads.
