Even Angels Cry Sometimes

My wings tucked in tight to my back,

hidden from human eye.

I stand with my arms wrapped around you,

holding you while you cry.

-

The hurt and pain you hide from others,

finally coming out.

I rub your back as your tears come down,

wanting to scream and shout.

-

I bury my face in your hair,

as I hold you tight to my chest.

You cling to my shirt and sob out your pain,

feeling so distressed.

-

I begin to rock you gently,

humming a little tune,

Trying everything I can,

In efforts to comfort you.

-

when you're lonely and sad,

And that ache is in your heart

There is only one thing left to do,

the healing has to the start

-

I wrap my wings around you,

Holding you oh so tight.

Trying to shield you from the world,

And all its pain tonight

-

I hurt everytime you say you are weak,

That you're not strong enough

God created all his children,

To be mighty and tough

-

The words you whisper in my ear,

Of being not worthy

Causes my heart to sink,

And my eyes to become blurry

-

I let silent tears fall from my eyes,

As I pray for your eyes to shine

Don't be ashamed of your tears Love,

Because, even angels cry sometimes.
