What do you see?

When you look into my eyes, what do you see?

What is it truly, that you see deep within me?

Hurt, pain, a tattered and broken soul?

An empty shell, an open dark hole?

-

The pitch black that lurks behind my eyes?

The scars from my blade across my thighs?

My butchered hair and my self pierced lip?

My nails bit deep and bloody with insecure nips?

-

Do you see all the secrets I hide from you?

How I struggle every day for my life to continue?

The constant burning deep in my chest?

Do you see the demons that have me possessed?

-

The hate and anger that I keep locked inside?

The grudges that hold me on the verge of suicide?

All the things my mouth leaves unsaid?

That every night I wish I was dead?

-

Every morning I wake to someone new?

I can never love myself, much less you?

By the time the sun goes down I am drunk or high?

Hoping this time my brain will fry?

-

The fear deep inside of being too much for anyone to hold?

All the pain filled anguish, sorrows untold?

When you look into my eyes, what do you see?

What is it truly, that you see deep within me?
