"hey, yo! hey, yo" Latrelle said as I sighed

"Hey, what's good with you, Ma? you're looking good" he said looking at me, as i blinked at him

"Let me get that ass at Pimp Lane. Yo, Monse, Lana, why you still hanging out with these broke ass Santos?" he said as i went to speak but was cut off by Cesar

"Oh, you spent some time in juvie, and now you think you're balling?" He asked as Latrelle sat up a little

"Yeah, where do you think i knocked off a bunch of your punk ass homies. Ask about me. Go ahead" he said as i grabbed Cesar's arm after he threw his drink

"Hey! Hey! Let's just go!" Monse said looking at him

"Screw the Santos and your dead homies" He yelled as i pursed my lips looking at him

"You know what side you on? This is our block, feel me? They call me Lil' Spooky. I'll blast on your ass"

"Cesar, stop!" Monse yelled

Me and Cesar were walking hand in hand as we walked over seeing Ruby, Olivia and Monse

"I am all good" Cesar said as they looked at him

"what are you doing here?"

"yeah, you shouldn't be here!"

"i have a math test" he shrugged

"Cesar, you have a green light on you" Olivia said looking at him

"I'm Spooky's brother. I have a green light on me every day" he sighed

"If something happens to you-"

"i'm fine. I'm gonna be in and out just for the test. So don't worry about me guys" he said as i shrugged once they looked at me

"you guys need to go straight home after school. The block is hot. and i need you guys safe." he sighed squeezing my hand

"But what about you? and what about Lana? you guys are practically dating she's gonna also be their target!" Monse added as I chewed on my lip

"how do we make sure you're safe?" she asked as his phone went off

"uh, i got to go. Shit. Tell Ms. Blanchard we're sick or something" he said as we began to talk away, i looked over my shoulder as Ruby and Mose

"Be safe, lana" Ruby sighed as i smiled at him

"Love you, Ruben!" i yelled as Cesar looked at me

"are you sure, Lana? They are right, we're practically dating they're gonna wanna go after you as leverage to get me" he said stopping me as i looked at him

"Cesar, i wanna be with you, i don't care" i said as he nodded hugging me, kissing my forehead as we began to walk outside again

We went outside, over to the fence as he moved it allowing me in, and then he followed as we walked over to Oscar

He opened the door, moving the seat back as i got in, and he followed sitting in the front.

"Lil Sis" Oscar smiled nodding at me

"Big bro" i smiled, before Oscar went back to a straight face, looking at Cesar

"You don't need to say it-" Cesar began, as i grabbed my phone out, i'm nosey, but i'm gonna act like i'm not listening

"I'm gonna say it. What's wrong with you? You can't be out here in the open, and neither should Lana, they don't give a shit if they're after you, they know about and and Lana by now, they'll go after her to get to you" he said as i hummed pretending to text someone

"i'm sorry, but i had a math test. This teacher will fail my ass-"

"Goddamn math test?!" Oscar yelled hitting the steering wheel

"I told you to stay at the crib. Use your head, before someone puts a bullet it in"

"It sucks being stuck. Just don't be stupid. So what should we do about this situation?" Oscar asked, chuckling when Cesar looked at him

"I say we have some run, Lil' Spooky, Luella" he said as I gasped

"Who told you that!" i asked placing my phone down

"I have my ways" He smirked, lighting the joint taking a hit, before passing it to Cesar.

I decided to go home and let Cesar and Oscar have their brother moment.

"i am no... what do you call it, side piece!" I hear Abuelita say as i watched her walk outta the kitchen and into her room

"what is she talking about?" i asked walking over to Olivia and Ruby

Olivia sighed rubbing her temple "we got a dress off Etsy, and it's ugly, and asked Abuelita to fix it and she said she's no side piece" She sighed as i looked at Ruby

"You mean to tell me, you live with a lady that makes dress, but you buy something from Etsy?" i asked chuckling a little

Ruby groaned "I'm sorry!" he said before walking away as i looked at the dress

I sucked in my teeth looking at it "Welp, you're fucked" i said giving her the dress before walking back into my room.
