3rd Person Pov

Cesar hung up placing his phone back in his pocket, Latrelle lunged at him trying to grab the gun

Cesar pushed him to the floor, before hitting him with the butt of the gun, pointing it at him once more

Lana began to cry as Jamal rushed over to hug her, before Ruby joined and then Monse

"You better pray he's okay" Monse said breaking the hug looking at Jamal

"We'll get the money, and he'll be safe" Jamal said looking at her

"We could've had him out of town by now!" Monse yelled looking at him

"This is just a mislead. A-a red herring. A MacGuffin. Tell her, Ruby" Jamal said looking at his best friend, who was holding his sister who was silently crying

"i told you we should've put him on a bus" Ruby said looking at him

"He needs money to get away! RollerWorld is that money. We just got to-" Jamal said but Monse cut him off

"Got to what!? You live in a fantasy. Grow up, Jamal! You just ruined Cesar's live. He's never gonna be the same!" Monse yelled at him

"Stop! yelling isn't gonna fucking fix anything! Jamal was the only one trying to help get Cesar money. You guys didnt believe in any of this until the last second. I love him, but Jamal didn't ruin Cesar's life, he ruined his own life. Cesar is in a gang, he's in it! he cant get out! That's the reality! He get jumped out, hes dead!" Lana said looking at Monse as she left shoulder checking Jamal on the way

"And you think im living in a fantasy. You're the one living in a fantasy thinking you can save Cesar. Its not going to happen!" he yelled as she stopped walking

"Cesar was born a Santo, hes going to die a Santo. So stop lying to yourself, sweetie!" Jamal added

"Im lying to myself!?" Monse asked turning around as she walked back over to the crew

"Your whole life is a lie. Those fake-ass injuries. Bullshitting your parents. The football team. You're the biggest, fakest liar ever! I hope i never see you again! "

"And you never will!" Jamal yelled as she walked away once more

"Jamal, Monse, chill!" Ruby yelled looking at them

"No! I'm sick and tired of chilling!" Jamal yelled turning to Ruby

"And I'm sick and tired of y'all telling me that it's always my fault! The only person that has ever stuck up for me right away, and believed me right away was Lana, and ive only known he for a few months! So you can miss me with that crap" Jamal said pushing Ruby, as Ruby pushed him back

"get over here" he said grabbing him by the coller

"hey, hey, hey No mas!" Abuelita yelled coming over and breaking them up

Ruby left as Jamal sighed placing his head on his hands "i cant believe i got played" Jamal sighed looking at the two people who believed him from the start

"There has to be a way. RollerWorld has to be true" he said

"Jamal, for what its worth, I believed in you too. But... some mysteries aren't meant to be solved" she said patting his face as he nodded, obvious tears building in his eyes

He went to walk away as Lana grabbed his hand walking with him, leaning her head on his shoulder

"Abuelita.. tell Olivia.. i cant make her quince" Jamal said before they walked away and out of the church

"I believe in you, and there's a way, and we're gonna find it and get the money" she smiled as he laughed a little

"Come on, please man, please. Dont do this, man. Dont do this. We went to school together" Latrelle begged and panted looking up at Cesar from the floor

"And you still pulled a gun on me" Cesar said looking at him

"I didnt shoot, man. But i didnt shoot" Latrelle said his voice cracking

"You should've." Cesar said looking at him getting ready to pull the trigger

Lana pov

I was supposed to be getting ready with Olivia for her quince, but i had to be with Cesar right now.

"Feeling sick?" Oscar asked looking at him as Cesar shook his head

"Aint no room for remorse" Oscar said before getting ready and shaving Cesar's head

When i tell you i begged and pleaded and was about to get on my hands and knees just for him not to shave his head, but he has to.

"The Prophets are shit. They want to exterminate us 'cause they fear us. And they should. We're the future, Lil' Spooky. This is our hood, hell maybe even one day Lana can join. I know you question what you did. But what you did had to be done. You handled your shit. You ensured not only yours but also Lana's future. I'm proud of you. We're proud of you" Oscar said shaving his once

He placed his hands on Cesar's shoulder's as he finished "You're a Santo" he said before Cesar leaned over and threw up

"I love you, but i have to go start getting ready. ill see you later, yeah?" I asked looking at Cesar as he got out of the shower

"Yeah, ill see you later" he smiled coming over and kissing me

"I love you" he called as i left, and went back to my house

I was wearing a purple sparkly poofy dress matching Monse and Jasmin, my hair was straighten with some pieces pinned back along with black heels

I was standing next to Ruby and Monse, we were handing out pamphlets of Olivia's quince

"Can you believe we were here only a few hours ago?" Ruby asked looking at us

"When there was hope?" Monse sighed

"Oh, my God!" Ruby said as the priest cleared his throat as he was standing next to us greeting people

"I mean, goodness." Ruby said handing him a paper, as he nodded walking away.

"Seriosuly?" Ruby sighed again

"What!" I asked looking at him annoyed

"There's a typo in the program. "Their" is spelled with an e-r-e instead of e-i-r. Only e-i-r shows possession." He said as i rolled my eyes

"You really think right now is the time for your grammar patrol?"

"Jamal was supposed to double check before they were printed"

"Add it to the list. He's a loser" Monse said as i let out a breath rolling my eyes again

"Can you guys shut up for one second! That's not his fault, whoever wrote it should of checked over it, and you should of also checked over it since you've been planning the whole thing. Nothing is his fault, you guys just want someone to blame, well blame your fucking self" I said hitting Ruby with the papers i had before heading into the church
