I walked home alone on prom night
Dragged my dress upstairs real tired
Hugged so many strangers goodbye
And shimmered for a glimpse of time
I asked for love from a random guy
Cause glory fades as time goes by
Feared the steep fall from the high
My fantasies and dreams still died
