Veronica's POV
Somehow dad accepted my request to work in the office, i am not fine right now i am still resting so much i just come office when it is very urgent, i sleep 15 hours in a day, every day check up, dozens of medicine i have to gulped. Someone always stays with.

And today Axel is with me in my office we both are working on his restaurant again, things got alot of better then before in our company, about that adoption thing no one talked about it again. Everyone got back to their work. dad is in office, Axel is with me for restaurant, this time more with more seriousness. Elvin is doing concert again and he is very busy but no one leave me alone.

"Veronica i seriously like each place you choose for me, so no need so search for more."
Axel told me satisfied. I still wanted to show him more but he denied

"Okay then-"
Before i could speak i got a phone call.
I walked to my table because we were discussing on the sofa. I heard receptionist.

"Mam, Mr Neil Verlice is here to meet you again. Should I send him back?"
She asked me, she is sending him back for days, he is coming to meet me everyday. I don't know what he want.
I thought for a while.

"Give him phone"
I told her, she gave me long pause, she accepted me to tell him go.

"Are you sure mam?"
She asked me insure

"Give him."
I told her, and she called him, i could hear them and i suddenly heard his voice after almost 3-4 months.

"Hi."
It was simple sentence but gave me a weird relaxation.

"Meet me at brigde at 4."
I ordered him and cutted the call without litsening his reply.

"Who was that?"
Axel asked while looking at his laptop

"Nothing important."
I told him with smile. And we again started talking.

I told my driver to leave me little far from the bridge and then i walked to bridge Mr Robinson is with me.
i think this is the same bridge where they threw fang, my biological dad.
He looked toward Robinson and he gave me a look.

"He wanted to talk to me, this is it."
I told him and he nodded.
I was about to walk away when i noticed he tried to take something out of his pocket it was ciggerate box.

"Do not smoke please."
I told him while walking toward Neil, he noticed me, gave me big smile, and i stayed cold, afterall because of him i became the headline of the news channels. He gave them a solid evidence. Now i understood why he said sorry before kissing me.?

"Hey how are you?"
He asked me with a smile, i looked at him expressionless but from inside i wanna hug him. I don't know why!

"Come on the point."
I told him
He looked down and his smile turn into sad smile

"I- I am here to. . . Apologize."
He told me while looking down then suddenly he looked right into my eyes.

"Veronica i know i have played big part in whatever happened to you, so i am here to tell you truth, i am sorry, i am so so sorry. Please forgive me."
He started tearing up

"Today i wanted to tell you everything, all truth."
He told me and stayed silent

"It started from the day we met in the party of your brother's restaurant. My dad saw us how we were looking great together, but he wanted me to get you in my love trap, and then marry you so that with his tricks he can have power on your company."
His father was planning this much, i can't believe but why is he telling me this?

"Later i couldn't lie to you anymore so i planned to hurt you so that you tell me to leave, that day when you got into a small accident, it was best time to hurt you, i wanted to hurt you as much as i could. So i also used our pictures in bed, then you finally kicked me out."
He chuckled for unknown reasons

"I was happy when i finally got out of your life, i thought dad will not use me again, i was the person because of whom he was hurting you so i had to get away from you.
But then that fucking Athen came with a plan. He told me to kiss you, dad sent his man to click our photo. I had no choice. Dad threatened me with my whole family. He gave me no Choice but i didn't know that, this will hurt you this much."
He completed, he was looking down the bridge. Guilt was all over his face that he couldn't even look into my eyes.

"Please forgive me Veronica. If you could."
He said

"What do you mean by Athen came with plan? You were together with Athen, you knew what he wanted to do with me?"
I asked, i was so much shocked i was angry.

"No! No way i didn't know what he was planning, he was helping dad, he never told us his real reason, dad took his help only for our company, my dad never planned to kill you, trust me.
He said, he panicked he didn't want me to think this low of him and his family.

There were silent.

"If you are done then can i leave?"
I asked coldly. I didn't answer if i forgiven him or not. I don't know myself about it. I turned to walk toward my car.

"I- i want to talk about one more thing."
He stopped me. I looked at him, what more is left to know

"I have started my own company with the left money that my dad gave me, i- i need an investor, can you invest?"
He told me, i can't believe when he has whole Empire and here he is doing Start up, why?"

"Why are you not working with your dad?"
I asked in confusion

"He, kicked me out of his company, your dad didn't told you? After all he was the reason."
He said while chuckling, but in pain.

"No he didn't, wait, he is the reason? Why?"
Everything is so fucking confusing. What more are these people hiding.

"Because-
N-Nothing forget about it."
He was about to tell me when his expressions changed.

"Neil tell me. Now!"
I told him sternly

"Veronica forget about it, i need to go you know i just started my company."
He said panicking he started walking

"I'll invest in you company, you don't have to worry. so, just tell me the truth!"
I gave him offer he stopped in between. He looked at me with hope. He wanted money, he want someone to invest, he need help.
And i may be taking advantage of him right now.

He had no choice, he told me. The new truth, the new betrayal happened with him this time.
