excuse the mistakes..

it's been two weeks since kentrell had his first visit at savarah's house. they been chilling back to back ever since then.

currently the young adult sat inside the lobby of her university to receive her papers for online courses. scrolling pass everyone's story on instagram she then heard her last name be called. "ms. casimer?"

getting her belongings together, she made her way inside an open office. "hi ms casimer, so i have good news for you." the principal spoke at his desk

"okay, number one you were approved to take online courses for your sophomore year. number two if you decide to come back next year and take your classes in person just make an appointment and it'll be done." he explained

"thank you dr. phillips" i smiled and made my way to the parking deck.

after buckling myself into my audi a7 with burgundy interior i put the nearest mcdonald's in my gps and headed there.

when making it to mcdonald's i ordered a medium 10 piece meal, an oreo shake, and a small frie with no salt then drove home.

"mama where you-" i started to say before seeing her walk down the stairs in a nice dress and expensive shoes. "never mind" i mumbled then walked pass her to go upstairs. i just don't understand how she can move on so quickly, it's only been 11 months since they died.

walking into my room, there kelani was already sitting on my bed with paw patrol playing on my tv.

"hey lani lani" i greeted while putting the bag of food on my side dresser.

"savarah i'm leaving, you should already know where i'm going by how i'm dressed." my mom spoke from my doorframe

"where are the batteries for kelani's hearing aid?" i asked without looking at her

"i put some in your drawer by the tv.. i know you're mad savarah but i can't let the pass hold me back." she said

"omg ma! daddy and maizee literally died 11 months ago, what do you mean? do you even think about them anymore? like you just live life like nothing happened." i frowned after covering kelani's ears

"every single day of my life i think about them. savarah i have to wake up alone everyday. i have to walk pass my DECEASED son's room everyday! you aren't the only one that's hurt." she spoke with her voice breaking.

"but that is no excuse for you to leave me with your child all the time. and what are you gonna do when i move out?" i asked

"move out?"

"ma i'm 19 and in my second year of college. i'm not gonna stay here forever." i replied

i'd be damned if she think i'm finna stay here that long, my plan is to move out by the end of this year.

"so how you gonna move out with no job and no money?" she asked with an attitude

"i have a savings account that daddy made for me and i have an interview at journeys this friday, now go enjoy your date." i waved her off making her walk away

after she left i took my hands off lani's ears as she stared at me with her baby doll eyes.

i scrolled through all my messages then clicked on 'the city girls🫀💫' group chat with me, kymestry, and menyon.

i blurted aloud "i need to vent."
