A Smoking Gun #46

I took the liberty to take a life

Not something normal

Such as a knife

A Smoking Gun is less formal

Your initials carved on the side

Everyday I practice

She watches me cry

As I get more accurate

She wonders why

Everyday I stay in this rut

As I look back so meek

She is in the house

When the cyanide started to leak

As a mouse

She watches as the cyanide

Fills the room with malice

I ran in screaming

I thought

I was dreaming

I was distraught

That she lay unconscious

On the floor

This gas so obnoxious

Crept through the door

I covered my face

As it seeped into my vein

My heart started to race

After that I went insane

I lost my lover

The Smoking Gun I kept by my side

As this was all over

I lay in the cyanide

Waiting to be free

Waiting to be released

As I cut my knee

I was the beast

Slowly dying

It spread faster

My heart crying

My new master

It diffused through my vein

It raced to my heart

It caused me to go insane

All from the start

I lost my lover

The Smoking Gun I kept by my side

As this was all over

I lay in the cyanide
