The video comes out today, and Matt knows Nick was up all night editing it, and.... talking to someone. Matt practically couldn't sleep because all he could hear was Nick's loud ass voice from the other room on FaceTime with someone, but he couldn't quite make out who.
Yawning, he makes himself a bowl of cereal, the hood of his favourite black ransom hoodie over his head. For some reason, Matt could not get Aria out of his head, probably because of the whole fucking Chester situation. Currently, Matt hates himself for not telling her, but it's too late now, all he can do is sit back and observe, since they're only friends; at least she's down to update him on everything.
Ignoring that situation, Matt had an extremely fun time yesterday, and he cannot wait for the fans to watch the video. He knows multiple fans will ship Nick and Ezra, especially after the clips Aria took of them, and he cannot wait to tease Nick.
Speaking of Aria, Matt has been resisting the urge to message her since last night, since they now have each others numbers. After they instantly clicked, Matt has had the idea of staying in contact in his head the whole time. As much as he likes Ezra, Matt and Aria were just closer, you know?
And for some unknown reason to Matt, whenever he made her laugh, or smile, or anything, he would experience a rush of adrenaline. It was probably just the fact that it was surprisingly so easy to talk to her, it was like they had been friends for years. He seriously needs to thank their fanbase for bringing them together.
Here he is, staring at "Ari" in his contacts while sitting at the dining table, the cereal waiting to be eaten as he's wondering what to say. He doesn't want to be awkward, he also doesn't want to sound too enthusiastic, he wants to be the perfect mix, so she knows he wants to talk to her but not in any weird way. She said it herself to him as they were walking to the car, she's found her new boy best friend, that person being Matt, of course. The boy just wants her to know that he feels the same.
Sure, he has girl close friends, like Madi and Alahna, but they're pretty much Nick's best friends, Matt hasn't really ever had his own girl best friend.
He brings his hand up to his face, starting to chew on his nails with nerves while staring at the pixels before him. Sighing, he finally thinks of what to say.
