Aria is truly baffled at how sweet this gesture is. Matthew Sturniolo woke up at 4 am to go and see her one last time. Well, not just her, Ezra too. Though, a part of her wishes he came just for her.
Her and Matt are walking side by side as they all reach the pillar, Aria's mom is stood there confused before she recognises the triplets.
"You three are the triplets on YouTube aren't you?" Her mom asks, her arms folded, and Aria can tell that all three of them are shitting themselves, not knowing how they're allowed to act around her parents, although her dad seems to be somewhere else.
"Yes, Ma'am," Nick responds, his voice polite as he smiles at her, Ezra laughing from beside him.
"Guys, chill, she's watched some of your videos, you don't need to put up this act," Ezra scoffs, waving Nick off.
"I appreciate acting respectful, but yes, listen to Ezra, you can act normal around me. Just call me Carmen," Aria's mom laughs, also waving the whole situation off before being struck into a conversation with Nick, the tension in all three of the triplets shoulders relaxing. Ari assumes she's asking Nick why they're here, especially when her mum speaks up again.
"Matt, right?" Carmen turns to the boy, piquing his interest as he nods courteously, deciding to stay well-mannered. "If I were you, I would not have woken up that early for anyone, why did you?" Her voice is kind.
Attentive, Aria now pays even more attention to Matt's response. She just wants to hear it again, it was too thoughtful, the only person who had done that to one of the twins ever was Sophie and Ezra's ex-boyfriend. It makes her heart warm, to think Matt did this just for one final interaction.
"Just wanted to see Aria- and Ezra, one last time before they left," He clears his throat while he speaks, sending a smile to her Mom. Carmen just smiles back at him, accepting the response and turning back to Nick, whom Aria can already tell will become her favourite of the three.
"You have converted Matt to the dark side," Chris sighs from behind her, his hand gripping onto her shoulder. Matt gives him a dirty look, stood there with his arms folded. This makes her giggle, noticing as Matt's attention switches to her in an instant, the scowl on his face forming into a soft grin at the sound of amusement leaving her lips.
