Matt

Would he be lying if he said that he didn't hate Chester?; Yes.

Would he be lying if he said that his newly gained information about Arianna and Chester's relationship didn't boil his blood?; also yes.

Matt knows that Ari said that Chester had done nothing wrong, but that just doesn't settle right with him, at all. From Matt's perspective, Ari was incredibly nervous to even ask Matt, and she seemed like she had these feelings pent up for a while, so surely Chester had to have done something.

Sure, Matt's going to believe Aria, but his hatred for Chester has doubled immensely. The thought of Ari feeling like she wasn't pretty or perfect enough genuinely made Matt want to throw something, but he remained calm for the whole facetime, not wanting to alarm her, since she thinks Matt likes Chester.

In Matt's eyes, Arianna Madden is one of the most gorgeous girls on the planet, always seeming to live in his head rent free, she's also immensely funny and just a nice person to talk to. She understands Matt, she just gets him, she's also kind of a safety net for him. So if Chester doesn't see how amazing she really is, he truly doesn't deserve her - the only thing he deserves is getting pushed in front of a car and getting rushed to the hospital.

Matt had made sure to triple-check Ari's mood before ending the facetime, informing her that Nick and Chris were waiting for him to carry on watching some random tv series Chris recommended. She told him she was fine now, and that Matt himself had uplifted her worries within the matter of seconds.

Those words were all the boy needed to hear and more; the fact that he could make her feel better with just a few sentences emerging from his mouth made a warm smile rise on his face, made his heart swim up to his throat, and made his mind go blank.

He steps out of his room, a bright smile on his face that is extremely unexpected, at least according to his brothers. Considering the fact he left in a hurry to comfort Ari, coming back looking like he had just snorted pixie dust was insanely weird. Both Chris and Nick share a sly look, before a notification sound coming from Chris' phone interrupts their eye contact. Matt returns to his seat in the corner of the couch, in between the two boys, the tv show loaded up on the screen waiting to be played.

Before any of them can pick up the remote, Nick glances at Matt, deciding if he should ask, "What was wrong with Aria?" - the question leaves his mouth in a slight tone of discomfort, like it didn't really want to leave his mouth, like it wanted to remain an unsaid question in his mind, indicating that he doesn't want to pry on Ari's business, he's just worried as to why Matt was dragged into it, also just because he's a slightly nosey person.
