Chapter 3: Impa-The Chief of Kakariko Village

Link's P.O.V.

The minute I touched down on the ground outside the Great Plateau's walls, I felt the misty air surrounding me. I stood and listened, closing my eyes. I heard birds chirping outside, and I felt the wind blow my hair. I breathed in and out, smelling the fresh air. My little piece of silence and peace was ruined by the Sheikah Slate beeping.

I looked at the screen, panicking as text appeared on the screen. I didn't know the language. It was just nonsense to me. Here's what it said:

Su cuy'gar, ruug'la burc'ya...Gaanla solus.

Luckily, the Sheikah Slate had a translator device. Here's what it translates to:

Hello, old friend...Chosen one.

Now I was really panicked. Who was contacting me? More text appeared.

Urcir me...you kar'taylir vaii.

Which translated to:

Meet me...you know where.

I decided to ask my hacker a question.

Who are you?

It took a few moments for the person to reply.

Gar kar'taylir tion'ad Ni am...fear ni not.

The Shiekah Slate translated, while I was in full panic mode.

You know who I am...fear me not.

No, I don't!!! New text appeared, but this time...it was in my language.

Chill out. Meet me at Kakariko. You know who I am...I am your soon-to-be companion.

Wait...Tech? Was this Tech? I replied.

Tech?

He replied.

Yes. Very good. I'm not hacking you. I can communicate with you through the slate. Look out for text. For now, goodbye!

Great. Just great. I huffed, putting the slate on my hip and started to walk towards the village.

Pitter patter, pitter patter.

I groaned as it began to rain. Hyrule has a really bad tendency to RAIN! Despite the rain, I continued trekking down the road. I had no map, and Tech gave me no guidance whatsoever, so my only guide was to follow the road towards the mountain with a split down the middle.

Eventually, I came across a weird-looking building. It was like a carnival tent with a creepy horse head structure strapped on top.

After I talked with Tesseren, I found out this place was called a Stable. He showed me how to ride and catch a horse. I decided to go catch my own horse.

After getting at least one broken rib, I caught a horse. Her name was Spot, because of the spots she had. I continued riding along the road to the village. Before I came across the Stable, I had come across another tower which opened up a bit more of the map.
