Chapter 6

Vaishu : I don't know if you believe me or not...but I totally believe you. I don't know why I want to believe in you. I think only you can save me from this situation.

Abhi : But every proof is pointing towards you Ms. Rao. Not even a single proof that you are innocent.

Vaishu : Proofs to dhundne se milenge na.

She said in a low voice.

Abhi : You said something Ms. Rao?

Vaishu : N...No nothing Prosecutor Abhishek.

Abhi : See Vaishnavi...there is not even a single proof that you are innocent. On top of that I am really not able help you because...

FLASHBACK

Abhi is in Chief prosecutor's office.

Chief : Prosecutor Abhishek I heard you are the incharge of my son's case right?

Abhi : Yes Sir..I'm handling that case.

Chief : You have to punish Ms. Rao no matter what. Get her to confess and charge her. If you failed to charge her and get maximum penalty, you will be fired, and wont be able to work even as an attorney. Your job will be taken away from you.

Abhi : But Sir she is not guilty. We can't state any fact without any proofs.

Chief : I Think you didn't heard what I said Abhishek. My decision will not change. Now it's your decision. you want your job or you want to protect that murderer.

ABHI'S POV

I was lost in my thoughts when I heard Vaishnavi's voice.

Vaishu : Because? ..chupp kyun ho gye Prosecutor Abhishek?

Abhi : Nothing

I'm sorry Vaishnavi. Chah kar bhi tumhe guilty prove karna padega. I really love my job a lot...Ye job mera bachpan ka sapna hai. Mere papa ka sapna..meri mammi ka sapna...they died but I want to fulfill their wish no matter what. I can't risk my job. Am really sorry.

I went away from there. I reached Amal Sir's office.

Abhi : May I come in Sir?

Amal : Yes Abhishek come in

Abhi : What's the update regarding her lawyer?

Amal : Noone is taking Interest in this case Abhi. Everyone are afraid of going against Chief prosecutor.

Abhi : This is really not fair Papa. She is being wrongly accused for what she never did. I too can't help her because chief blackmailed me.

Amal : Kya kaha usne?

I told him everything. His face clearly showed anger

Amal : I'm going to talk to him. He can't do injustice with anyone on a mere basis of doubt.

Abhi : Nhi papa...rukiye. Unse lad kr koi fayda nhi. Aapki job bhi risk me aa jayegi.

Amal : Ab kya kare?

Abhi : We need to find a good lawyer for her...taaki kam se kam uski saja to kam ho jaye.

Amal : Only one person can help us now and you know who I'm talking about.

Abhi : No no no...Bilkul nhi papa...I won't. No means no. Me usse bilkul help nhi lene wala. Mujhe leni hi nhi usse help.
