Chapter 13

Penny slammed the door behind her and looked at her hands with shock.

"What the fuck?" She muttered. "... Elise!"

She stormed up the stairs. Ricki looked up from chopping carrots.

"If she's sewing tell her to stop. She's grounded!" Ricki yelled.

"Okay!" Penny yelled over her shoulder and entered Elise's room.

Elise looked up from sewing. "Have you heard of knocking?" She asked. "I could've been naked."

"You're just worried that I would've been mum. You do know you're grounded?" Penny pointed out.

Elise shrugged and goes back to sewing. "Not my fault the bitch mocked my sewing. I'm a future fashion designer. Grace'll come to Sew Cute apologising. I won't let her apologise. Just kick her out."

"... You really need therapy." Penny said.

"What can I say? I'm an icon."

"You won't be until you're a duchess, Empress and Queen of two kingdoms. And you won't be an icon until you're Elise, fashion designer and daughter of Reflection Bright and Victor Levash." Penny put her hands on her hips.

"Shh! Don't say my 'father's' name out loud. I didn't wanna know it."

"It's hard to not know who your father is considering the fact that he's the only vampire I know with purple hair." Penny put her hands on her hips and gave her a sassy look with her eyebrow raised.

Elise rolled her eyes. "So, what did you wanna talk about?"

"Okay. So you know how my father is the most powerful vampire ever?"

"Oh really? I didn't know that." Elise said sarcastically.

"Really? You're gonna be sarcastic to the second most sarcastic vampire ever?" Penny raided her eyebrows.

"No~." Elise said slowly.

Penny rolled her eyes and sighed. "Anyway. I think I'm gonna be the first most powerful vampire."

"Wow. I didn't think you had an ego that big!" Elise looked at Penny. "You sure you're feeling alright?"

"I know someone with an even worse ego than me. And he tormented mum for a little while for his own pleasure. Sick bastard should be slapped upside the head. But he'd probably enjoy that." Penny breathed in. "Anyway. I have two abilities."

Elise's hand slipped and she poked herself with her needle. "Ow!" She shook her hand. "But pardon?"

"You know how I have electricity?" Elise nodded. "I now have fire."

"I thought vampires only had one ability plus the invisibility, if they are powerful enough but no vampire had ever succeeded with that, and mind reading and hypnosis." Elise goes back to sewing.

"Yeah, well, apparently fate's deciding that I need more character development." Penny bit her lip, putting her hands on her hips.

"The trauma wasn't enough character development?"

"Apparently not." Penny waved her hands in the air.

"Heard of this before." Alpha said, teleporting into the conversation.

"Who invited you into this conversation?" Penny turned to Alpha.

"I did. Anyway. If a very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very-"

"How long is she gonna go for?" Penny turned to Elise.

"A year."

"You're joking." Penny said.
