"I WILL HAVE TO INFORM YOUR MOTHER, OF COURSE." Dumbledore told Diana as he sat behind his desk, as she sat infront of him, munching on some of the sweets he had given her anxiously.

"I understand Professor, i was going to write her a letter and tell her as soon as possible." The young girl looked down at her hands, playing with them slightly, unsure of what to do whilst sat infront of her headmaster.

Professor Dumbledore smiled as he gazed at Diana. Diana was a wonderful student, and even better, an amiable individual, and he had no doubt that she would make an excellent mother. Her kindheartedness was recognised throughout the school, and Dumbledore couldn't help but think Diana was destined to be a mother, a kind, caring mother like her own. Of course, it was in her blood, and though he didn't anticipate it so soon, he couldn't help but think that the child inside her who would one day attend Hogwarts would inherit the pure heart that ran throughout the Marlowe family.

Otto, Diana's younger brother, was another who received the Marlowe heart. Diana had never seen anything sweeter than the little youngster, who was just 11 years old and in his first year at Hogwarts. Diana couldn't help but feel protective of him from the minute he was born when she was six; he was everything to her, and nothing would stop Diana from protecting him, and now same protectiveness would be passed to another. Of course, Otto would not completely comprehend the fact that he would be an uncle in less than 9 months, but Diana knew that the child within her would grow up surrounded by love from the whole Marlowe family.

There was one missing from the Marlowe family, her father. Bernie Marlowe had died not long after Otto was born, and whilst utterly heartbroken, Amelia Marlowe had never once forgotten to tell her children that they were loved, and that whilst he was not here, their father would be so proud of them, no matter what. Diana wished to pass on the family she had grown up in to her child; they were pure, good natured, and beautiful, and Diana thanked Merlin every night that she was blessed enough to have people like that in her life; she knew that others weren't as fortunate.

"Madam Pomfrey explained to me who the father of the child is, I must ask, does he know of the child?" Professor Dumbledore asked, as Diana once again looked down at her hands in her lap.

Sighing, Diana replied, "No, professor, I just can't bring myself to do it right now. I feel as if telling him that he would feel the urge to shift his concentration away from Lily, that he loves her, that one night would take everything away from him. All I want is for him to be happy, but I'm not sure if this circumstance will allow him to feel so."

"He is the father, Miss Marlowe, and I believe this child will provide him with another reason to love. We all need another reason to love, no matter regardless of how big or small; more love in the world is never a terrible thing."

Diana nodded, she knew that telling him was the right thing to do, she just didn't know how to.

The young Marlowe girl was not normally the overly anxious sort of person, but in this moment, right now, stood infront of the Gryffindor commonroom door, she couldn't help but feel as though she was going to throw up right then and there, either from her pregnancy symptoms or just plain nerves.

Just five minutes earlier, she had spoken to the lady in the painting on the front of the door, asking for her to send for one of the other portraits to collect James Potter from his dormitry, she knew in this moment that if she didn't tell him now, she never would.

Walking out of the dorm, James Potter looked just like he did the night they spent together. A charming smile came across his face, his hair, albeit unkempt, looked handsome, and Diana couldn't help but feel a twinge in her heart as she realised that this charming young adult would now have to be told that he was to be a father. They were both in this together, it was both of their faults, and while Diana was excited no matter what, she couldn't help but worry about how he would respond. But she reminded herself that whatever decision he made was okay, it was his choice, and it was her choice, they both had choices on what happened from this point forward, you can't force people to do anything, but you can be kind and understanding, and Diana chose to stand by that.

"Diana, hi, what're you doing here?" James asked, confused as to why the young girl was standing in front of him. James was a womanizer around Hogwarts, there was no denying that. Both him and Sirius Black had a reputation for it, but James did know Diana, everyone did, though she may not have thought it.

Diana Marlowe, with her black hair, deep brown eyes, and stunning features, was well-known among the marauders. They might only have had one braincell between them, but it didn't take a genius to notice that she was one of the most beautiful girls at Hogwarts. But Diana was blind to this; she didn't consider herself exceptional, and many people's approaches she mistook for normal friendship, so when James chose to go speak to the young girl that night, he had no idea it would go any further than that.

But there had been nothing further than that, Diana woke in the morning to an empty bed, knowing that James had probably ran back to his friends, thinking that she was nothing more than another girl he womanized. So why was she here now? the questioned played on James' mind as the young girl shut her eyes and sighed.

"Could we go and talk somewhere? Maybe a bit more quiet? Outside maybe?" Diana asked, as James looked questioningly at the young girl.

"Sure, yeah of course, c'mon." James said, as they both walked towards the grounds outside.

Sitting on a nearby bench as they walked outside, both silent, Diana decided to just come out with it in full force, his reaction would determine how he felt, and for Diana, there was no turning back now, it was suddenly real to her.

"James, i'm pregnant."
