BOTH JAMES AND DIANA WERE HAPPY THAT THEY WERE STARTING OVER WITH ONE ANOTHER. After their conversation in thelibrary, they sat there for a while, just talking non-stop, finding out things about each other. Diana began to feel that she was starting to see James for who he really was instead of the Gryffindor quidditch player that everyone knew as a womanizer who was hopelessly in love with Lily Evans. Diana learnt that his parents were Euphemia and Fleamont Potter, they were older than most parents due to having trouble concieving, they had met in their Hogwarts days, and they would be thrilled to know James was having a child. She also learnt that he was an only child, but Sirius Black, Remus Lupin and Peter Pettigrew aka the marauders, took up the title of his brothers, even if not biological.

That was how she was now on her way to the Gryffindor common room; Diana had asked about them, and now James wanted to introduce her to them, as much as Diana said it was okay and she didn't want to bother them, James insisted; after all according to James, they were to be the baby's uncles who would teach the child all the mischief, much to Diana's dismay.

"They can be quite full on I suppose, but they're the best honestly, you're gonna love them, they they're obviously gonna love you of course, who wouldn't?" James said, matter of factly, mostly speaking to himself instead of to Diana.

"If you're sure," Diana muttered, she couldn't help but be a bit nervous, she knew how much these people meant to James, they were his family, they were also some one the most well-known boys around Hogwarts, and Diana couldn't help but admit to herself that she was slightly intimidated. 'How would they feel about me being in James' life all of a sudden? Would they hate the fact that it was me pregnant by James and not Lily evans? After all, they had always tried to help James get a date with Evans, and now all of a sudden i'm in the picture, not romantically of course.'

Thoughts continued to sweep round in Diana's head so much so that she hadn't even realised they were now stood outside the Gryffindor commonroom. "Head in the clouds, Marlowe?" James asked, noticing Diana's expression on her face, wanting to know what she was thinking.

"I suppose, it's just all a lot to take in at the moment." She said, smiling softly at the boy who returned the smile instantly. "I feel the same, its okay though." James did something that took Diana by surprised, he intertwined their hands as the commonroom door opened. "We're in this together."

Diana nodded, unsure what to make of James holding her hand; a flush of red developed across her neck and cheeks as she thought about it, but she believed it was only a nice gesture; she was surely reading too much into it.

"C'mon, i'm pretty sure they'll be in our dorm." She felt a drop in her stomach when James let go of Diana's hand; she knew he did it because the other people in the common room would be suspicious if James suddenly held hands with a Hufflepuff girl; she knew he didn't like her in a romantic way, which she was fine with; and she knew he wouldn't want other people to think he liked her in a romantic way, even if she was carrying their child.

There weren't many people in the Gryffindor common room, it was mostly younger years, some of Otto's friends and some other students from other houses hanging out with their friends playing chess or studying, nobody really noticed the Hufflepuff girl with the popular Gryffindor boy, Diana knew she was overthinking, no one would look at her and know she was pregnant, no one would know she and James had sex, but in her mind she felt everyone looking at her, thinking her tiny, basically none existence bump was the size of a 9 month bump, which in 7 months time it would be, and soon enough everyone would know. She couldn't quite help but feel she wasn't ready for everyone to know yet, this was her time to treasure the pregnancy, to work things out, and couldn't help but think that if the whole of Hogwarts found out, the pregnancy may be a lot more harder than she had hoped.

Walking into the 'marauders' dorm, Diana couldn't help but think it was exactly how she imagined their dorm room to be. Each on the other maraduers; Sirius Black with his long brown hair, Remus Lupin with his sandy shaggy hair and scars across his face and Peter Pettigrew, a small lump of the boy that didn't seem to fit in with the others, yet they made it work, all sat on their bedposts, laughing away at each other. "Lads," James said as he walked in, trying to get their attention, "i'd like you to meet Diana Marlowe." He scratched the back of his head, "the girl I got pregnant."

"Way to go prongsie, the kids gonna be a good looker!" Sirius smirked at his best friend before extending his hand towards Diana, "Sirius Black, obviously best looking guy Hogwarts has ever seen." Diana shook his hand, raising her eyebrows, wondering how he got so humble.

"Also the biggest idiot to ever walk the grounds of Hogwarts," Remus also got up shaking Diana's hand. "Remus Lupin, lovely to meet you." Diana gave the tall boy a warm smile; he seemed tired, sweet but tired. She couldn't help but feel sorry for him; Diana had an uncanny ability to read people sometimes, and right now she knew that he had had a difficult life; she didn't know why, but the sinking in his cheeks and bags under his eyes suggested that he had, but he seemed kind and genuine, and Diana knew instantly that they would get alone, knowing they had similar hearts.

"I'm Peter Pettigrew! Nice to meet you," a little voice popped from the other side of the room, and Diana nodded her head in return. "Nice to meet you all, James has told me a lot about you all."

"So Diana, I know we've only just met, but I would like to put myself forward for godfather slash uncle." Sirius said, as Diana just laughed, rolling her eyes.

Diana liked Sirius, yes he was sarcastic, and despite his name was never very serious, but he was loyal to James and his friends, she could tell they were practically platonic soulmates. "Depends Black, you've you seven months to prove godfather worthy, then i'll decide." Diana laughed as beside her James smirked.

"Don't you worry, Marlowe, since you're now carrying our nephew or neice we'll be there to make sure you and the little sprawn are looked after. Anything happens, you come to us, you're one of us now." Sirius told her as the other 2 boys nodded their heads. Both James and Diana smiled, but Diana couldn't help but feels slightly overwhelmed and felt tears forming in her eyes.

Sniffling, Sirius looked scared looking between James and Remus. "Did I say something wrong, this always seems to happen when I talk to girls, it's like a curse."

"That's because you're a dick, Sirius. But in this case, no you didn't say anything wrong, I imagine it's her pregnancy hormones." Sirius playfully stuck his middle finger up at Remus who handed Diana a tissue as she nodded agreeing with Remus.

Maybe this entire thing wouldn't be so bad, maybe it wasn't a mistake, maybe bringing a baby into a world where James Potter was the father and his three closest friends were the baby's uncles would be a wonderful world full of love.
