Chapter 8: Examination (Part 2)

An hour had passed since Y/N's encounter with Deku, and the two doctors had taken him to a spacious training room designated for quirk examinations. The doors in front of him read 'examination room.' 

Both of the doctors who had begun his tests had entered this room. However, they asked Y/N to remain outside for the time being, as they still had some things to set up.

Time seemed to stretch as Y/N tried to ease his growing anxiety while waiting. The encounter with Deku had left him feeling grateful but also anxious about the tests that awaited him. He knew he needed to cooperate in order to be with Eri again, yet a part of him couldn't help but worry about the potential ulterior motives that the hospital staff may have for him.

Suddenly, a voice echoed through the room, calling Y/N into the examination room. The familiar voice belonged to the doctor with the notepad. Taking a deep breath, Y/N pushed open the large doors and stepped inside.

The examination room was vast, filled with an array of mechanical equipment and gadgets that looked both intriguing and intimidating. As he looked at the variety of machinery, he couldn't help but feel a sense of... familiarity. 

As Y/N's gaze scanned the room, he noticed the presence of the two doctors he had met before, along with a third new face. This doctor was quite short, with a bushy set of facial hair and gold goggles with green lenses. He looked different from the other two, who seemed more reserved and cautious, this third doctor seemed more collected and somewhat jovial.

The new doctor spoke up with a friendly smile, and proceeded to introduce himself.

Dr. Kyudai Garaki: "Ah! This must be the child that you were telling me about... Y/N, correct?"

Realising there was a new person in the room, Y/N's instincts kicked in, and for a brief moment, he analysed the doctor's features for any hidden motives or signs of danger. However, finding none, he decided to calm himself and trust his initial assessment.

Y/N: "Yes, I am Y/N. Are you going to be the one testing my abilities?"

Dr. Garaki nodded warmly, his goggles reflecting the light.

Dr. Kyudai Garaki: "Indeed, my boy. I will be the one overseeing this examination."

Feeling slightly reassured by the doctor's sudden polite demeanour, Y/N once again turned his attention to the large room. The doctor with the notepad approached Y/N once more, reminding him that they would respect his comfort levels during the tests.
