Never in my life did I ever think I would get this much special attention. Especially on wattpad of all things! So to celebrate... I'd like to write a special of what life is like inside of the original timeline where Deku ended up dying, and instead decided to refuse Kami's offer of returning to his world for one more try.
And we're specifically... Focusing on one person in particular.
Enjoy!
. . .
Rain... Pattering on her umbrella. She has no idea how many days she spent crying. Ever since her best friend- no... Her everything... had lost his life. Even now, she was sniffling almost every second.
Her attention was on only one thing... And that was the casket carrying her lover's body. Along with all his classmates, and even teachers. He truly was surrounded by all the ones he loved.
She found a seat, and sat down. Watching as the casket was transported to the end of the room. Then, one person went to the altar. A familiar ash blonde male.
He then cleared his throat, and spoke. "My name... Is Katsuki Bakugo... And... I didn't really treat Izuku all too well when we were younger. I always bullied him, always tried to get him off my back... but each time he would come back. And now, as we are in U.A. I realized that everything I ever did to him would come back to haunt me-"
"So I apologized to him... and we became friends again. But we were still rivals to the very end... Now here we are... at the very end. Even after all the abuse... he still saw me as a friend. And I'd like to give him a farewell worthy of the greatest hero..." Katsuki had finished what he was saying, then bowed his head, and eventually walked off the altar.
Then an even more familiar bob-cut girl walked up to the altar, wiping away her tears. "My... My name is Ochako Uraraka, and I'd like to say something... I knew De- sorry... Izuku, all throughout my time at U.A. he had so much ambition to be the greatest hero. And that was only one of the things I loved so much about him... He was strong, smart, adorable, nice, and one of the most influential people that I've ever met-"
"And... To see him here... sleeping so peacefully... I almost expect him to wake up at any second, but... I know that can't happen. I loved him with all my heart. He was my best friend, lover, and without a doubt... The Greatest Hero in the world... I love you Izuku Midoriya..." Ochako then walked off the alter, wiping off any tears she may have shed saying her speech.
The speeches continued from every one of their classmates. And eventually, everyone got up to see the burial.
Everyone watched as the casket was closed, and slowly lowered into the deep hole in the ground. Ochako couldn't hold back the tears anymore, and cried along with most of the ones there.
Some trying to be silent, some not trying to hide it, but either way... They all knew... This was something that was impossible not to get emotional.
The casket was eventually lowered into ground, and the diggers had to cover the hole back up with dirt. Once it finally was... The funeral was over.
. . .
5 years had passed since Izuku passed away. Every one of his classmates had all grown to be great heroes. Some even ending up as teachers for U.A. None however... ever forgot about the sacrifice that Izuku made.
Even though most had gotten over it, Ochako was still struggling. Always visiting his grave whenever the chance would arrive to give him the best wishes. After a long while of doing this, she would continuously stay up late, thinking about all the memories she had of him.
Sometimes even daydreaming about if he had survived... and they had a family. Sometimes she would dream of him coming back to her, then wake up in a cold sweat and yell at herself.
She was basically destroying herself, both physically, and emotionally. And one day, she heard a knock on the door, she could barely stand up and limply walked to the door.
"Yes...?" She opened the door and saw an old friend of hers "Ochako! How have you been- OH MY GOD WHAT HAPPENED TO YOU?!" A voice yelled out, surprised by Ochako's appearance.
She had bags under her eyes, her hair was a mess, and she was practically a zombie. "What do you mean...? I'm *yawn* fine..." She insisted.
"No! You're not! How much sleep have you got this week?!" The voice asked seriously, "I think... 7 hours..." She answered sheepishly. "7 hours... A WEEK?! GET SOME SLEEP! WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!" The voice asked.
"Mina... I'm trying to get sleep. But each time, I always have a dream." Ochako stated, confusing Mina "A dream?" She wondered, "Yeah... A dream. Of... Him." She then started to sniffle, then Mina realized what she was talking about.
"Oh... I see... Well... Can I come in?" Mina asked "Sure..." Ochako then moved out of the way for Mina to come in, and they both sat down.
"I was just checking up on you to see how you've been. But now I'm concerned for you. I understand that you miss him more then anyone else... We all miss him. But he wouldn't want you to do this to yourself." Mina explained.
"I know he wouldn't want me to do this to myself... But I can't help it. I just... Loved him so much...!" Ochako stated, covering her eyes with her hands.
"Listen Ochako! You're a pro hero now... you're an adult now! You need to learn when to help your body! Not destroy it! In fact... I have something to give you..." She then pulled out a box.
"What's this...?" Ochako asked, "you'll find out. I'll leave soon, don't worry. Just... take care of yourself. Alright?" Mina then gave Ochako a hug, then left the house.
Ochako turned her attention to the box, and tore it open. Revealing a note, and something wrapped in plastic. She took out the note, and read what it said.
"Dear Ochako Uraraka...
If you're reading this... Then that means that at some point, Kacchan must've given you this. But I'll get to the point. I may be dead... But that doesn't mean that I'm not still with you, and everyone else. I left all my classmates something to remember me by. Whether that be a page of my hero analysis about their quirk, or maybe even one of my notebooks. They all got something... Then there is you. My everything... I was pondering on what to give you, and thought that... This might be the answer. Happy Birthday."
After reading the letter, Ochako turned her attention to the wrapping, and carefully took it off. Revealing a smaller box. She let out a small gasp, and slowly opened the box.
Revealing...
A beautiful dark green ring.
She let out an audible gasp, and carefully slid the ring on her finger. When she did, she immediately started to cry... more then she's ever cried before.
"Izuku...!!!" She continued bawling her eyes out. Showing no signs of stopping.
The ring was a perfect fit, and had some beautiful writing on the bottom of it.
Which read...
"I love you... Ochako."
End
Well... That was honestly kind of cringey, but... It kind of was the best I could come up with.
