Territory

I woke up early in the morning to at least cook breakfast. I went outside early, jogged at least while wearing my white Nike jacket and black jogging pants while listening to music with my earphones, as I went to the nearest store so I could buy some bacon, eggs, and ham.

I wonder if he likes salad? Pansin ko naman sa kinakain niya, minsan kung ano ang binibigay ng girls ay iyon din ang hilig niya.

He might like a tuna sandwich? Hmm... I should try. If he didn't like it, then at least I could immediately find another snack for him.

Hindi na ako nagkotse pa para makapagjogging din para kondisyon mamaya sa practice. Alam kong mamayang alas dyez pa magigising ang mga boys sa dami ba namang ininom kagabi. Mavric has a high tolerance like me, but he doesn't really wake up early.

I heard the slow creak of the door. Lumingon ako at nakitang nakatayo roon si Shiloh. I smiled.

"Morning..."

He rubbed his eyes and looked at Mavric on the sofa. Psh. He didn't greet me back.

Inilagay ko sa plato ang nalutong mga bacon at hinila rin ang upuan para sa kanya.

"Come here. Have some coffee. I'm not yet done cooking," sabi ko.

Tahimik na naglakad si Shiloh habang naniningkit pa ang mga mata at buhaghag ang buhok. Hindi nag-aalburoto at hindi pa yata gising ang bulkan kaya agaran kong pinagtimpla ng kape para naman wala nang panahon mag-inarte.

"With cream or..."

He nodded and yawned. I smiled at him and poured a little cream on his coffee. He really likes sweets. Imagine it, Shiloh? You consume too much sugar, and yet you're still cold to me. Mas maalat ka pa sa asin minsan.

I placed the mug in front of him and also placed the small plate with the tuna sandwich I made earlier.

"Try it. Then tell me if you like so I can experiment again tomorrow..."

Tumingin siya sa sandwich na ginawa ko. Hindi ko alam kung antok pa ba 'to lalo na't natulala na roon. What time is it, by the way? I woke up at five. Maybe it's still six?

After frying the eggs for sunny side up, I also put the ham on and glanced at Shiloh, who's now sipping the coffee.

Umiling ako sa sarili at ganadong nagluto. I wasn't an eater early in the morning since bread and eggs were enough for me, but I don't want him to adopt this kind of set-up, so I wanted a heavy meal for him that involved rice to start his day.

Inilagay ko lahat sa table ang mga niluto ko. He looked stunned while looking at each one of them while munching his sandwich.

"You like it?" tanong ko.

He nodded. "Masarap..."

Ngumuso ako. Oh damn it... He approved!

I was about to occupy the seat beside him when he looked at me.

"Gisingin mo sila."

"They can have breakfast later. I cooked this for you."

"Madami ito. At... baka gutom na sila."

Basang basa ko talaga ang target niya. He probably cares about Connor. I sighed and stood. Nahuli ko si Mavric sa sofa na dumidilat na at tumatayo sa sofa.
