Care

His words confused me. Mabilis akong napabangon doon at tumingin sa kan'ya. I saw him putting his hand above like reaching the sky.

"What do you mean date?"

He chuckled.

"What we do right now is like dating, right?" Sumibol ang maliit na ngiti sa kaniyang labi.

"We're not dating. You're so delusional." I rolled my eyes.

I pick up the sandwich that placed inside the tupperware beside him. He was scanning my whole moves that made me feel uncomfortable.

"What are we doing then? If we're not dating." He muttered in a deep voice.

I was about to take a bite on the sandwich I am holding from my left hand but it's stopped when I heard his words. It sent shiver on my spine. Even me can't answer his question. I don't know. Maybe were just... I can't find any word to explain what we're doing. Masyado akong nagtagal sa pag-iisip kaya hindi ko namalayan na naghihintay pala si Silas sa sagot ko.

I caught him staring at me attentively. His serious eyes were deep just like ocean that you could lose yourself when you keep staring at them. There's a sweat on his pointed nose. My eyes drifted to his well-defined jaw.

"Why can't you answer it?"

I blink, and immediately look away from his face. I didn't realize that I was taking too long looking at his bare face. Even I'm not looking at his side I could feel his stare at me. I took a bite on the sandwich before I respond to him. My breath became heavy and I don't know why.

"W-Were just visiting this place..." I can't look at him directly.

My grip tighten on the sandwich on my hand.  I lowered my gaze on my short. I feel Silas move near me. And my body heated when our skin touched. My breath hitched, I could feel the sweats forming on my forehead. Pati ang kamay ko na nakapatong sa aking short ay naramdaman ko ang panginginig sa hindi malamang dahilan. Why I suddenly feel nervous?

"Uhuh, why are you avoiding my gaze? Ganoon ba talaga ako kapangit kaya hindi ka makatingin sa kin? Maybe I should cut my hair, hmm. What do you think?" I could hear the teasing in his voice.

Lumingon ako sa kaniya at agad pinagsisihan ang desisyon nang makita na sobrang lapit ng mukha namin sa isa't isa. We we're almost kissed because of my sudden action! Napaawang ang labi ko sa gulat. He pursued his lips when he saw how shock am I! His deep eyes shifted on my pale lips.

My body frozed, he place his thumb on my lips. And my heart pounded so fast and loudly because of what he did. Halos lumabas ang puso ko sa aking dibdib sa pagwawala. I couldn't process what's happening.

"Such a lovely lips."

"W-What are you doing?"

He grinned and show me his hand. There's a sauce on it.

"Oh." I said shortly and averted my sight.

"Why? Are you expecting something? Like kissing you." He asked in a hoarse voice.

"What? Of course not!" I said defensively.

"I'm just asking. Why are you defensive?" He chuckled.

I tried to calm myself. He's right I am a little bit defensive when I answered him.

"I am not." Ngayon ay kalmado na.

"Let's go there! I will take a picture of you." Tinuro niya ang lugar.

He stood up first and then offer his hand to me to help me stood up from the white cloth where we seated. Medyo makulimlim na ang kapangitan. I didn't notice that we stay here in ruins that long. Ala una y media niya na ako pinuntuhan sa bahay. Ilang oras na rin kami ritong nagtatagal. I sighed. They won't look for me it's okay. Kahit magpalipas pa ako ng gabi rito.
