Chapter 14

Trauma

Nagising ako sa pananakit ng aking ulo. My eyes welcome the gray ceiling above. Where I am? I suddenly embrace myself using my arms when I realize the room is not familiar to me. My head throbbed again that made me close my eyes. My vision is a little bit blurry.

"Ouch..." I groan in pain while the hand is on my head.

I saw a man's stance. Nakadungaw ito sa akin pero hindi ko siya mamukhaan dahil nanlalabo ang aking paningin. I saw him leaving me while calling the doctor until I passed out because of too much pain. 

Napaatras ako nang makita na papalapit sa kinatatayuan ko ang lalaki. Nakangisi ito sa akin at namumula ang kan'yang mga mata nang tingnan ako. Nanginginig ang binti ko na humakbang paatras ngunit mas lalo lamang itong lumapit sa akin.

"N-No, d-don't come near me..." I shook my head repeatedly while crying.

But he continue stepping until I felt the cold wall behind me. He corner me— I have nowhere to go. Napaupo na lamang ako sa sobrang panginginig ng mga binti ko. The man with a black jacket squatted in front of me. My lips is quivering when I saw his demonic smile. I flinched when he touch my face.

I could feel sweat beading on my forehead. He tried to kiss me but I turned my face away from him so his lips hit my right cheeks. My heart pounded, and my hand began to feel clammy. 

"Sobrang ganda at sexy mo talaga." He said and laugh without humor.

"D-don't touch me! Please..." I push his face from me using my hands.

My whole body were shaking while hitting his hand but I stop when I felt an arms embracing me. I could feel his shoulder were moving while hugging me tightly but enough that I could breath properly.

"Shhh no one were hurt you I'm here. It just a dream." I sob more when I heard his familiar voice.

I open my eyes and I saw Silas hugging me. Pareho kaming nakaupo sa kama. Nang tumahan na ako ay saka siya kumawala sa pagkakayakap sa kin. Our eyes locked he touch my face using his thumb but concerns register on his face when he saw me flinching.

"It's okay. This is Silas, Eris. Nothing to be scared of." His eyes were dark and sharp but it became soft when he notice me staring.

He dried my tears that drips from my eyes while his other hand were caressing my messy hair. And I don't know why but it made me calm down. I can't help staring at him while he was doing it. My lips parted when he tried to tied my hair at the back but I saw him struggling. Kaya lihim akong napanguso na pinagmamasdan siya.

It takes a minutes before he do it properly. Nakatitig lamang ako sa ginagawa niya hindi makapagsalita. Hindi ko alam kung paano niya ako nahanap sa lugar na iyon. But I'm very thankful for his help. This is the second time he saved my life.

"You alright? I'm sorry if I came late." He lowered his gaze.

Na tila sinisisi niya ang sarili sa nangyari kahit niya naman kasalanan iyon. I shook my head. I reach his hand that place on his lap. Hinaplos ko iyon para pagaanin ang loob ni Silas kaya napaangat ang ulo niyo sa kin. I could see the worry and pain in his eyes.

"No, it's fine. You just arrived on time. And it's not your fault." I smiled. 

Tears roll down like falls on my cheeks. Naramdaman ko ang paghigpit ng kamay niya sa akin. Nanlalabo ang mga mata ko dahil sa mga luhang umaagos doon. I felt his hand wipe my tears.

"I-Im s-so scared when I saw you on t-that state... I almost kill that fucking bastard when I saw you bathed with your own blood..." His arms enveloped my body.
