Chapter 21

Past

My face turn into crimson when Silas suddenly hug me after I answered him. His hug were so tight but enough that I can breath. I'm glad that his car is tinted so the people inside the campus can't see us. His car were parking inside the school beside the dadivas gym.

"Thank you! Thank you so much, Eris! I will be a good boyfriend to you. I promise." He said while hugging me.

Napangiti na lang ako sa naging reaksiyon niya. I was so nervous a while ago. I didn't expect that this is what his reactions. He's a known playboy so. But as we become close as the day passed and when we together I could see his intention were genuine and how he made efforts for me. Lagi niyang iniisip ang kapakanan ko.

Lalo nang may nangyaring masama sa akin. He's the one who saved me and took care of me. And besides I also like him I'm just scared of the consequences of loving someone. But, I realized that we only live once. Why not try it living with the fullest? 

Rather than living a life full of what ifs. Plus, hurting is part of growing up. We can't avoid that. In everything we do, there's always a pains that gives us the lessons and realization in life.

"No worries." I smiled brightly while scanning his face.

"Let's eat somewhere. We need to celebrate this." He started maneuvering his car but the sweet smile did not disappear from his lips.

"Sure. Saan ba?"

Napailing na lang ako sa kanya at hindi maiwasan na napatawa. I can't deny that he is cute with that kind of expression tho. Lalo na at lumalabas ang dimple nito. Na bumagay naman sa kan'yang buo na mukha.

"Secret, you will just know it when we got there." He winked at me.

May pa secret-secret pang nalalaman eh pupunta rin namin kami roon. Ba't hindi niya na lang sabihin?

"Okay, fine." I rolled my eyes at him that made him laugh.

He is really happy, huh.

"Your seatbelt." He reminded me.

Hininto niya pa ang sasakyan at tinulungan ako na ilagay ang seatbelt. My heart pounded so fast when he was tying the seatbelt to me. Na tila ba mawawalan ako ng hinga sa sobrang bilis at lakas ng tibok no'n.

"Hey, you okay?"

Halos mapatalon ako nang magsalita si Silas. Doon ko lang namalayan na kanina ko pala pinipigilan ang sarili na huminga. Marahan ang pagtango ko sa kan'ya at iniwas ang tingin sa labas. Some students are already going home while some are had just arrive from school.

Nakalabas na kami sa loob ng campus. The lady guard even help Silas go out from the school because there's a lot of vehicles. Pumunta pa ang guard sa gitna ng kalsada para pigilan ang mga sasakyan doon upang makalabas na kami. Kilala na siya siguro ng guard kaya ganoon na lang mag alok ng tulong.

Silas open the window of his car and mouted thank you to the lady who helped him. The lady just smiled but her eyes grew bigger when she notice me however it was all late to ask because Silas already started the engine. Pero hindi pa rin mawala ang nararamdamang kaba ko.

Inaalala ko na baka magsumbong ang guard na iyon sa mommy ni Silas. And it will end up that the two will fight again. May lamat na nga relasyon nilang dalawa. Baka madagdagan pa dahil sa akin. Hindi ko maiwasan mag-alala sa posibleng mangyari. Hindi pa naman ako gusto ng mommy niya.

"Can you open the window?" I ask him politely.

"Sure. How's school? I'm sure you did well." He uttered.

Inilapit ko ang aking ulo sa binta. I close my eyes when he opened the window to feel the cold wind touching my bare face. Nilipad ang hangin ang buhok ko kaya medyo nagulo ng konti iyon.
